Thanks, for the suggestion. I went at it with paint thinner and with quite a bit of elbow grease was able to get most of it off. Still needs more work, but definitely better. PPF sure did it's job well! I think I'll give the Gyeon Q2M PPF renew, as Kitt 2.0 suggested for the remaining.

Can anyone recommend how to remove paint that is scratched into PPF? From my quick searching, I know the correct answer is to replace it, but I'm thinking maybe some sort of buffing compound? At least want to give something a try before paying the $ for replacing it. I wish I could blame...

I have it as well on my 2021 refresh. It's faint, but annoying when the environment is quiet. I believe it's the temp sensor, it has a small fan. Here's a thread, where a M3 owner has it. The video posted in that thread sounds exactly like mine does.

Tesla replaced mine last week without a problem. It didn't have much wear, just a small area where the material was coming unglued.

Had the part replaced. For reference, if anyone needs it: Also had my yoke replaced due to the material coming unglued. Got the new yoke that has the horn facing the other direction. The material seems a bit nicer/softer.

Replaced the Leviton 6-50 receptable with a Hubbell brand. Problem resolved! Surprised at the temp drop, as the Hubbell hardly gets to the mid 90's(F). The Leviton receptable looked fine and I had also tried using some Deoxit cleaner on it just to make sure the plug is making good contact...

Wow, replaced the 6-50 Leviton with a Hubbell brand and the high wall temp issue has been fixed. The Leviton looked fine, but it sure makes a difference in temp. The Hubbell plug stayed in the low 90's F. :)

That got me to thinking, since I have it all logged with TeslaFi. I looked through the charges a year ago, and there were plenty with low voltage, some at 229V but it still charged at 32A. So at least that should definitely rule out low voltage being an issue.
