ABC local news reported the location as "Old Gaol Site" (Tesla SC along with other chargers). Albany council approved the installation at last night's meeting. (I have not seen the minutes)
Mmmm, was a local ABC news report, I haven't seen the minutes so the location I quoted may be incorrect, but the lease was quoted only as "a CBD carpark".
Could be the dash trim rubbing. Try holding firm pressure on different parts of the dash when it squeaks to see if that stops the noise, I've had that problem too. Mine was (is) at the woodgrain/silver/black trim interface between door and steering wheel - worse when the heater is on expanding...
Front upper control arm ball joint noise, known issue. Some entire UCA are replaced under warranty as they are not serviceable, pre-emptive silicone sealing on top of the ball joint by service before noises appear (doesn't work in my opinion or in my case, traps more dirt on top of UCA). Claimed...
Tested - Gen II HPWC still works on two phases as long as L1 connected in Wall charger (Max 2Ph 16A 7.5kW). No little "2" anymore (the "3" stays if two phases are connected), and an alert on UI "Charging slowed - some AC phases not powered, check power source and charging equipment"
I think...
In our 2019 Model 3 - The onboard '3Ph' charger for Aus and the EU is effectively 3 single phase chargers that detects how many of the phases are connected (L1, L2, L3). If you disconnect a phase before the Wall charger (L2 or L3 - L1 position must be connected in the wall charger) the car would...
Local S owner and a touring 3 report chargers up and running Sat 26 March, tech on site. Useable, but still some roped off parking entry to negotiate around. Online in the Tesla Nav and App, but yet to be updated as functional on Plugshare.
You (and some) understand the limitations, use it appropriately, take the wild claims with a pinch of salt and made a decision on value. However, many have been sold the dream by Elon (despite the fine print excuse) without any critical thinking and won't see or believe anything else. Yes, call...
If you really don't want to drive yourself, and you want a car that drives itself in a most mundane manner, obeys all (most) the rules, available right now, with no wait time, for "FSD" price or less, with just as scary intervention thrills as "FSD", and annoys other traffic sometimes as...
I'm reasonably local, but there are closer owners, and not many of us ever charge in town. I popped in to check this morning and everything is offline and unpowered including the 3xgen3 HPWC's. Looks like the power feeds to everything need proper covers at ground level to finish the job. (the...
I think Tesla may have "unimproved" what was a brilliant air cond up to now in our car through the latest software update. Our 2019 now blows low and slow, needs to be set colder, works better on manual, and direction control is now all over the place on drivers side even after a reboot. I would...
Well all you earlier Tesla owners will recall the first batch of stealth performance 3's and S and X before late 2019 Pearl white was a $2100 option on the 3 and more on S/X and the cost free option was black. On SR+ and LR 3's on the first shipments most were refunded for pearl white but not...
Sometimes mine gets "stuck" on an amp setting. Rebooting or cycling power on the Pi resolves this for me. (My Pi is on a wifi power outlet with a timer to cycle once a day at 5am, and so I can also remotely cycle the power if necessary)
@Blue heaven When I use the energy graph in projected average range mode, which I do often for an indication of range remaining on a trip. The mathematical relationship for battery capacity (calculated by using the car's projected range) has me wondering if this shifts with time to give an...
Yes. The Pi is the master and seeks load/solar info from your particular system and any wall charger connected to the Pi must be set to slave for it to work. Tweaking TWC Manager code for your system is key.
Set up hack is not as "scary" as the video looks if you leave your Pi outside the wall charger and power it from an external usb power source and run/route just the RS485 cables into the HPWC. No need for soldering the HPWC circuit board.
A few days ago at 110 km/h, we passed close by to an already deceased fox around 60cm from our wheel track on the centre lines. Amazingly, despite being quite low profile, it visualised as a witches hat - briefly standing then doing a jittery tipping on it's side just as we passed! No steering...
I should have /S in my previous. So many, (and every edge case) hypothetical needs to be covered, let alone every day driving scenarios for "FSD" to be truly functional. It will come....one year.
A guide (EPA 100% charge when new); LR AWD/P3D- 18" aero wheels 495 km
LR AWD/P3D- 19" alloys 465 km
P3D+ 20" alloys 451 km

I have TWCManager working with my Australian Tesla Wall charger and Model 3. I have modified the code to supply a minimum 6A when tracking solar excess (6am - 6pm) so it doesn't continually switch on and off when production/excess is low, this works well and saves the contacts from too much...

Yep, gimmick. Can't believe everyone is so keen to show off what will be a mostly useless and annoying feature, especially if used in car parks, shopping areas etc getting in everyone's way. This will be another "disrupter" technology, just walk peeps.
Spotted on Faceplant, apparently some Model threes have made it to WA by roro. So those waiting for roro's...it's happened! (Well, sent on from Sydney after unloading out of containers)
"Estimated delivery"
Me too. I'm a Cap VIN, 9/7 build, invoiced, paid, P3D-, looking longingly down our track for a car carrier, sometime, soon, maybe in the next month...
You are also assuming that all VINs are allocated to vehicles from a range. Tesla doesn't necessarily use all VINs or produce vehicles with a VIN sequentially, so some may not even be used yet. Lower number VINs are still appearing on new cars in other markets, and there are over 150,000 unused...
That's one skew, everyone was too scared to lose their spot in the queue by changing an order or didn't want to lose their P3- config, so they stuck with black interiors. Those who did change, and going forward from when white was an option though...who knows?
...and I forgot only white...
