    Teslastics vs TeslaFi

So, I've been trying out TeslaFi and Teslastics today and comparing the end results. It seems like Teslastics is actually more accurate at capturing what really happened in a drive. I've attached two screenshots showing a drive I did this afternoon. In that drive, there are two bursts of...

Latest software/firmware/maps versions for UK Model 3

Hi All, I'm picking up my Model 3 tomorrow, and was just wondering what the latest firmware and maps versions are, so I can check if my car has them. I'm aware that 2019.32.2.11 is out there, but I'm not sure if it's been rolled out to UK cars yet. Any help would be much appreciated. Andy.

    Main Fuse/Power Upgrade 80amp?, 100amp?, Confused.

I'm in a Western Power area, and have been going through this exact same process recently. I've just had my charger installed today. There are a number of things to consider... Firstly, the cable coming into the meter box must be at least 25mm^2. Unless it is, you won't be able to have the...

Vendor LUXURY RHD Model 3 Floor Mats NOW AVAILABLE (I finally pulled my finger out!_

Think it's great that SR+ owners have an option for mats now. Great effort to get this off the ground. I'd be happy to stick with the mats that come with my P+, but what I would be interested in is a good quality carpet or rubber mat which covers the whole of the boot floor space (not just the...

    Model 3 P- price decreased

No discount will be applied to P- orders, unless you chose multi-coat white paint. This will be removed from the cost, as it's now free. I had a P- order in black, and chose to change to the P+ in white, as the lease company would let me change with no extra monthly cost.

What's the process for paint / alignment defect correction?

I'll be taking as much time as I want on collection. Given all the recent reports of issues, then I think it's only reasonable. My drive home is around 300 miles, so I'll be looking very carefully for problems before I drive away. My nearest service centre is also about 190 miles, so I'm not...

Tesla model 3 performance - Test drive results

Flow forging appears to be the same as spin forging i.e. not true forged in terms of the wheel strength. Peteski and I have chatted about this on here, and I'm going to defer to his greater expertise. It made me decide not to go with the Varro wheels, even though they were very reasonably...

    West Drayton Supercharger/M3 deliveries

Just out of curiosity, does this mean that the Superchargers at West Drayton have now been retrofittted with CCS connectors? The spreadsheet here: Tracker CCS on Superchargers reckons that they're not compatible with the Model 3, which I find hard to believe, given the volume of deliveries...

Tesla model 3 performance - Test drive results

Agreed. Much the same applies with compter storage. It can be cheap, fast and reliable, but you can't have all three together. With that in mind, I think I might just wait until I've got the car, and then make a decision. The main consideration for me would actually be the extra range that a...

    Delivery call - WARNING

What about the Kona or E-Niro? They're both excellent EVs at a much lower price than the Model 3. The main issue with them is supply. Order one now, maybe get it in 2020. This is where Tesla have the advantage as they produce their own batteries. For the other EV manufacturers, there simply...

Tesla model 3 performance - Test drive results

I'm thinking of getting a set of 18's to help counteract this. Whilst I didn't particularly find a problem when I test drove, I am attracted by the idea of better economy. There's a good group buy deal on one of the Facebook Model 3 groups at the moment, which looks good. Checking out the...

Model 3 Performance - without performance pack vs with performance pack

I'm thinking you might have been off planet earth for the last couple of weeks. :D There has been major uproar, due to the fact that Tesla discontinued the P- with 18" Aeros and also dropped the price of the full fat performance model and included the performance pack and white paint for around...

Model 3 Performance - without performance pack vs with performance pack

You might well be right about that one. I've not seen anything to indicate they're different. On that one, I'll defer to your greater experience. Model 3 Performance - without performance pack vs with performance pack

I'll be coming from an F10 M5 with adaptive suspension, and I found the comfort on the P+ to be very comparable to the M5. It's perfectly acceptable, and the M5 has some of the best suspension (for comfort) I've had in a performance car. Granted, it's not as compliant as the suspension in the...

Model 3 Performance - without performance pack vs with performance pack

It's such a subjective thing. I've driven both the SR+ and the P+, and I didn't find the P+ suspension to be dramatically worse at absorbing bumps and imperfections in the road. The economy is the only real issue for me, but like you, I couldn't justify not changing. I've read several reports...

Changed order since price drop but still not updated?

Is your new final price £53,490? This assumes you've switched to new performance in white with black interior. If so, then the price difference is because the Tesla paperwork doesn't show the £3,500 government grant, whereas the website automatically takes it off the price it shows. I've just...

    Model 3 Premium Connectivity

I suspect this will come as soon as Tesla start charging for renewal. In theory, all cars which have it will need to renew it on an annual basis after delivery. Expected cost is $100 per year. Right now, Tesla haven't actually charged anyone.

Model 3 Performance - without performance pack vs with performance pack

I was quite happy with the look of the P- alloys, with or without the aero covers. Ride quality isn't as compromised as you might expect with the 20's. I've driven the SR+ on 18" Aeros and the Performance on the 20's. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the Performance handled bumps and...

Model 3 Performance - without performance pack vs with performance pack

The spoiler can be added for about £100-£150, but I've not been able to get a straight answer from the UK service folks on whether they would enable the higher top speed if you fit one. On the brake front, then there are definitely not just painted red. You get uprated Brembo calipers all...

I originally ordered a black P-, as I couldn't justify the extra lease cost. The car I really wanted was the P+ with white paint. For me, it was a bit of a no brainer to change as my lease company (Octopus) agreed that I could so with no extra cost. I know this hasn't been the case for most...

    Model 3 Leasing UK

Mine is the simplest case, as the monthly lease rate for the new car in white comes out only 40p a month more expensive than the P-. Octopus are happy to absorb that cost, which means that nothing but the colour needs to be changed in the agreement. For other combinations of colour and spec...

Looks that way. Brings them into line with most of the other lease companies, from what I can see. It's a shame, but I guess it's the funders decision (SG Fleet), not Octopus. I suspect SG Fleet are about to take a bath on the residuals for those customers who stick with their P- orders. The...

You can't quite work it like that, as the total lease cost won't go up if you change from 3 months deposit to 6. So, his cost with 3 months deposit is: 3 x £557.48 (£1627.44) + 23 x £557.48 (£12822.04) = £14494.48 When you increase the deposit, the monthly will go down, as the total paid...
