Update: Tesla reached out to me on Friday 8/18 and completed the repair on 8/22. I wasn't around to get the complete detail, but it was related to cable assembly on the roof.
I guess it's not that bad for 5 week turn around time to resolution.
Down 4.5 weeks now, still in L2 support. When I called to follow with the Tesla Technical team, the agent said they have a resource constraint and a very long backlog. He said he was being honest, it could take a few months.
Down 3 weeks now (50%). I was told it was escalated to "Tier 2" group who will take another 7-10 business days before they get back to me.
So I am optimistic on the 10th day Tesla assigns a repair ticket for someone to come out and replace the down inverter.
I didn't have high expectations...
My production dropped by half this week and Tesla finally acknowledged that. One of my two inverters is dead. My install is a little less than a year old.
Do you guys know if the inverter is the same? Or perhaps a newer generation inverter?
Thanks
Mase
This is what I am hearing as well in my Semi industry.
In addition, the current economic situation is leading to a softening in new car demand. I don't know anyone that works in tech right now is looking to spend $70k+ for an EV.
Thanks for the feedback.
I expected 15kw due to two 7.6Kw (15.2kw total) inverters. But I guess I am wrong due to other variables.
I ran the PVWatts with my 16.80kw system. I didn't adjust any of the system info except fixed roof mount. I received 26,610, annual production which is much higher...
I have a 16.8kw system with 2 inverters & 1 PW in Nor Cal. Since my PTO in the past 2 weeks I have been capped at 12kw. It has been high 90’s with no cloud or shade. Tesla told me my system is working fine. Even with clipping, I would expect to produce 15kw?
I would send an email to your project coordinator and copy the interconnect team email alias <[email protected]>to follow up on the interconnect agreement.
My installation schedule may be considered a success story based on what I seen for most installs on this thread.
However my system is not preforming to the level that I purchased. 12kw max production vs 17kw system purchase.
I requested a technician to come to review the installation.
- 17KW...
The problem is either incorrect install on the inverter/Powerwall Or CT'S not working properly which will need to be replaced.
Tesla scheduled my service/repair for next Wednesday. I will post my outcome.
The quality of these Neuria CT's are very poor. I captured this same issue during my install. The tech's had to swap a few different modules before they could get the right reading.
I recently had a 17kwh system installed in Northern California. This morning I received an option to sign up for Tesla virtual Power plant.
Without any context for this proposal, I did not proceed. Has anybody signed up for this and has received money from Tesla? What impact does this have to...
I am in the same boat. I just got my 17 kWh system installed today (awaiting PTO) and it has the same issue. Capped at 7kwh. I have 1 powerwall and 2 inverters.
I brought this up before the chief technician left. He said that there is some issue in the powerwall.
And it requires the team to...
100% correct. I also work in Semiconductor and the Auto industry is at the bottom of the pecking order for priority and allocation because of the low cost.
Demand is filled for Asics, Memory, and FBGA's that drive higher margins.
I think the Auto industry will get its share to keep minimum...
I have tried this battery calibration recommendation, there was no change. I have Raven X (Not plus) that should get 328 miles.
There is currently 20,000 miles and i only get 297 on a full charge. I assumed it was battery degradation (?).
I have hit about 135/137kw on both Emeryville and Scotts Valley v3 superchargers. But i had about 100 miles to begin with. Maybe if I was down to 10/15% battery, I would achieve higher numbers.
Finished most of the delete, got the back and front left to finish. I would say overall it is Intermediate level DIY. I would rate my finish 90% flawless. But overall , very happy with the finish. I definitely want to thank the Nikola team for their support during my install.
Selling the OEM carpet mats that came out of my Sept 19 Raven Model X, 7 Seat interior.
Pictures attached. Local pick up in Contra Costa county. Shipping will be additional cost.
That's surprising. At the least, all office jobs in the Bay Area are on work from home. I understand Mfg will need to go on. I hope they have strict quarantine policy and counter measure if something were to happen in the factory.
Thanks for confirming. I am looking for the complete set so the mats have a consistent look thru the car. I have Tesla Merc credit which expires soon so, I might use it for the mats
Does anyone know how the Tesla Model S Plaid would be compared to the Lucid Air. I have never really considered any other EV outside of Tesla until Lucid Air. The Lucid Air is essentially offering Model S performance specs at a price of $60K. I know i wont be getting the supercharging...
