    Used Model S (after refresh)

Just curious, subject mentions Model S. Do you really want the plaid? Even better deals to be had on just a plain ol’ Model S after refresh.

    Intermittent Wiper Failure

Yes. 2023.44.30.4 has resolved the issue for me as well.

2023 Model X Plaid No Audio Bug and Fix

And it is working again without issue?

    23 MXLR energy consumption

19 miles is definitely very high for a single night vampire drain (how did you calculate that?). Is the car going to sleep (you say sentry is off but are you able to check if the car is in fact going to sleep)? Do you have a fob or something near the car keeping it awake? Do you have an app to...

    Model X Glass Roof Sunshade

I just purchased the Jowua version based on the above. For me, the Jowua totally sucks. Our trim is not very tight and the clips are pretty crummy, so they do not hold the shade up very well. In addition, the front sags a LOT. First world problems, I know, but have not found one I like so far...

How well does phone key work compared to the old key fob?

Indeed I did. However I also said, “This means that you always have to carry the card or fob with you in addition to the phone when you take your car to change a tire, valet, service.” But you just wanted to be “that guy” on the internet. It’s not a huge burden but another little thing where the...

How well does phone key work compared to the old key fob?

Thank you for the sage advice! Sarcasm aside, carrying two things does not improve quality of life imo. I tend to try and carry a minimalist wallet. I definitely feel like this is one step forward and two steps back. Just my opinion.

How well does phone key work compared to the old key fob?

Also just as a practical issue. The phone as a key is much less practical in situations where you are giving your car to someone else to drive. Most people would not want to give their phone to a complete stranger. This means that you always have to carry the card or fob with you in addition to...

Only one TPMS sensor update frequently?

Yes but the flat was rear passenger side. This one is front driver side that constantly updates. I can see this issue when checking through the app as well as on the screen in the car. It just doesn’t make sense that a single one is constantly updating.

Only one TPMS sensor update frequently?

This is happening in my 2023 Model X. It seems to update the drivers side from tire every couple minutes. The other three tires do not get updated as often. The one that gets updated often currently shows 1 min ago. The other three show 7 hours ago. As I watch it, the timestamp is constantly...

    AlloyGators

Wondering if anyone who installed the alloygators had an issue with the glue. When I got it, the glue that came with it was solid as a rock. Need to be able to grab some glue from the hardware store. Anyone else have to use a different glue and what kind would be suitable. Have the car up and...

Thanks. Can you share which aftermarket supplier version has the better fit?

    Intermittent Wiper Failure

Can someone please explain what intermittent means/does? I think I may have the same issue. I would describe it as my wipers do not do anything on the two lowest settings. P.S. I have a 2018 S 100D.

    Planned Power Outages

Thanks! For some reason I thought it would happen automatically. My bad. Good to know for the future.

    Planned Power Outages

We have a lengthy planned power outage tomorrow. Our home has two Powerwalls. It was my understanding that the powerwalls are supposed to be charged from the grid using the “storm watch” for situations like this. I thought that PGE informed Tesla of these events. However that has not happened...

    Towing Package?

Looks great. Any chance you can stencil you cut and/or put measurements for it so that others can do same job as you. I really like the look of what you did.

    Model S&X Price Adjustments

Most auto insurance companies provide gap insurance as an add on. Tesla is in the auto insurance business. That is why they are asking the question. I doubt Tesla would do this since they know their own volatile pricing strategy and it would end up hurting their insurance side if the business.

    Model X Glass Roof Sunshade

Okay we ended up getting the new Model X Sunshade. https://shop.tesla.com/product/model-x-glass-roof-sunshade I am guessing I am the only one who had trouble installing this thing? I have two clips in (pointing at the rear seats), one clip on each side going into the trim over the visors, and...

Has Anyone Already Designed a Model X Rear Bumper Tow-Hitch Cover Cut-Out?

We have a 2023 model X and would definitely be interested in a cover with a cutout. If anyone has a stencil/outline I can use to cut the hole myself that is cool. I am a little confused about the part. Can someone please provide/confirm the part number for me to order for the Model X...

    Cellular Connectivity

This outage has been a few days this weekend (and been happening a few times this month). Found out that AT&T has been doing some work the past few weeks. There seems to be a lot of angry people without the ability to make phone calls. Good to know that Tesla manages the network for the cars...

    Cellular Connectivity

I live in CA East Bay. Have both a 2023 Model X and a 2018 Model S. Never really had an issue with cellular connectivity at home in either Tesla. The past few days I have seen errors with no connectivity. Is something going on with AT&T network? I find it hard to believe all of a sudden both my...

    Rear Screen Entertainment

Looks like there is a way to completely lock the rear screen from use. Is there a way to just disable the entertainment stuff on the rear screen but leave the fan controls, comfort, etc on so that is usable? Thanks.

    Model X Glass Roof Sunshade

We also had a covercraft sunshade. That doesn’t seem to fit too well. Seems too heavy for the magnets on the Tesla Model X visors. Looks like covercraft doesn’t make sunshades for the refresh yet.

    Model X Glass Roof Sunshade

I had 3D Maxpiders from our 2018 Model X. That was a 5-seater same as our 2023. Those are not a perfect fit but they are okay. The rear fits nicer than the two fronts. The frunk is a totally different shape so that one doesn’t fit at all.

    Model X Glass Roof Sunshade

We are upgrading from a 2018 Model X to a 2023 Model X. We have a Tesla-made glass roof sunshade for the 2018 Model X. Will that fit in the 2023 Model X? I see Tesla has a newer one that says it fits in the 2021+ Model X but was curious if anyone tried it.

    FSD Transfer Logistics

Can someone with a bit of knowledge on the matter please clarify? How do I know if all is going smoothly for my FSD transfer? 1) Placed order for new Model X on Friday and added FSD to the order (couldn't help myself...once it went below $80K and qualified for the tax credit and the FSD...

    Model S&X Price Adjustments

Can someone please explain the transfer of the FSD to me and how it works here? Now that the Model X is below $80k, how does the transfer of the FSD work in practice? I don't want the FSD to show up on the invoice when I purchase the car so that I can get the $7500. I also want to trade in the...

    Spacebar missing

2022.40.30.10 and seeing this issue on both MX and MS. This is ridiculous. Software quality is not their strong suit. Can’t even get an onscreen keyboard right.

FS: Model S 21" Twin Turbine Sonic Carbon Rims

Sorry. Been holding these for a while. Seeing if anyone interested. As you can see not in a hurry to sell these and not interested in unreasonable lowball offers. Thanks All.

Any great new tire choices to replace OEM 20”?

…and I lied. Just got a call that said the Falkens are on back order and will be a 60 day wait (even though the website said 1-5 days). Gotta love the supply chain issues these days.

Any great new tire choices to replace OEM 20”?

Anyone try out the Falken Ziex CT60 A/S tires? They look to be highly rated and come at a nice price point.

Key Not detected when underway- intermittent

Not sure if you have the same issue. I did not notice initially, but after taking my car in for service, they disabled passive entry on my car. This required me to press the key fob. I re-enabled it once I noticed and all was good again.

    2022.12.1 Music can't do a "Thumbs Up"

Just updated to 2022.12.1 on my 2018 Model S 100D (MCU2). When using the streaming app to listen to music I can no longer remove/clear out a thumbs up that was given to a song. The only workaround at the moment is to change it to a thumbs down. Used to be able to clear out a thumbs up by...

    Magically disappearing 4 year/ 50k Used S Warranty

Just a note on this. The original 4 year warranty on my car recently expired. Once that happened, the Tesla app finally shows the extra year warranty I get for my used car agreement. It just does not show up until the original warranty expired (at least that’s the way it worked for me).
