RPM Tesla Model Y Skid Plates

No experience with the RPM-specific ones but they look nearly identical to the ones you can get on eBay for less than half the cost. 99% chance they're made in the same factory in China. I bought some from eBay (which also included the foam inside) and the fitment was great but definitely don't...

MPP Lift Kit Install Instructions, Range Discussion & Driving Impressions

I would try to Clear Offset again and then drive it around for a bit. Try different roads to check for steering pulling. A lot of “flat” roads aren’t actually flat and may pull your car differently.

Did you try going into service mode to reset the steering angle offset? Video linked below:

    MYP driving in the sand

Drove my Y Perf in the sand (both wet pack and very soft sand) at Pismo Beach/Oceano Dunes last week with lots of funny looks from people. Aside from not being able to clean up all of the beach sand in my interior, I would recommend it. Just be sure to wash off the undercarriage afterwards. I...

Anyone have a 6MT car in addition to their Y?

Sold my tuned E92 M3 not too long ago and still miss it. Hard to beat the sound of an 8400rpm V8 with ITBs getting 12mpg :) Been eyeing a 991.2 GT3 Manual as a replacement. My Y Perf is fast but nowhere near as fun as these types of cars.

    Mammoth charging options?

Chill mode is typically recommended but I've never bothered to use it during any ski trips to Mammoth/Tahoe/Big Bear. Just drive like a grandma instead. I also wouldn't modify regen settings from what you probably typically use (i.e. Hold). The older Teslas had a Low setting for Regen which...

    Mammoth charging options?

I recommend charging to 80-90% in Bishop. The uphill climb on 395 from Bishop to Mammoth burns a ton of range and even more if you want to pass slower cars and run the heater. You'll burn ~30% uphill but only ~10% on the descent back into Bishop.

External speaker fault with latest update?

Thanks for posting these parts. Everything worked perfectly for me too. Also wanted to add the parts link for anyone looking for the male connector that will seal off the speaker itself: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/571-1-1718643-1 This looks to be the same part that comes with the...

    Dash wrap from Vinyl roll

Not 100% necessary but I'd also recommend removing the dashboard and taking it inside your house to wrap. I've done both (leaving it in the car vs removing it) and it was definitely more comfortable wrapping on my dining room table. There are a ton of YouTube videos on removing the dashboard.

    Rearview mirror housing rattle/vibrations

I followed this video to clean moisture blocking my front cameras (bad tint job/shop) on my 2022 MYP: Just be patient and take your time to avoid breaking anything. Unfortunately most times I’ve noticed that Tesla service makes things worse. Use a roll of adhesive foam weather stripping to get...

Model 3 HW3 retrofit questions, wait time, issues

Updating my post earlier if anyone runs into a similar issue as me in the future. Tesla chat support said they can't push nav updates to my car and that I had to contact the Service Center. Service Center said my car was fully up to date and there was nothing else to download even though my maps...

Model 3 HW3 retrofit questions, wait time, issues

I got a prompt to download 2020.12.11.1 (firmware) and that went smoothly. Unfortunately the car is stuck on 2019.6 (navigation maps) which is preventing me from using the stoplight/stopsign feature. Anyone have tips on how to force the navigation update to the newest version?

Model 3 HW3 retrofit questions, wait time, issues

Yesterday I dropped off my car at 9AM here in SoCal and picked it up at 4PM. All my settings were retained. My navigation maps reverted back to 2019.6 and it won't download the latest version even though I'm connected to strong WiFi (full bars and 250Mbps down). Did anyone else run into the...

Warning to Autopilot users in Socal on the 5 FWY south bound in Burbank

I'm in the Burbank area frequently and I nowadays always turn off AP when approaching this area. My car has only successfully made that curve once out of many times. Side note: On the opposite side of the freeway (5 northbound) around the Hollywood Way exit, TACC will randomly reduce speed to...
