This is an extremely easy install. You literally only need to unscrew 2-3 screws. Do it yourself. Don't pay someone to do this.

Rai Auto Collision in Mississauga. Small family run business. Truely honest place. They have been in the business over 35 yrs and have worked on multiple Tesla's across the line - model 3, s, and x. They have a picture of a few Tesla's that have been worked on in their Google maps business page.

This really annoys me. Us early adopters get screwed, when we are the ones that should get this the most. We waited for the AWD, paid a premium for it, and now don't even get premium connectivity. Makes absolutely no sense to me.

Mountain pass is amazing. Best mods for the model 3 and great customer service. I have their coil overs and bbk on my model 3. Sasha and Jesse are knowledgeable and friendly. I'm not sure they do wheels, but definitely give them a call or send an email.

This looks like a very straight forward install with minimal and easy to remove parts. No one should shy away from this because they are worried about the install. You can do it!

My understanding is that the issue was with the 2018 glass. The issue has been fixed and it coincides with the newer glass no longer having that orange hue when wet. Not impossible to say it won't happen with the new glass, but not a known issue like with the previous glass

You can buy the unit directly from hansshow. There are some discount codes (pm me if you need one) or youcyou wait for a group buy. But the website gives you an idea of cost. Install is usually $500 for trunk, $100 for sensor, $400 for trunk. Again feel free to pm me if you have any questions.

I was thinking about using a cheap ebay wrap over the wood trip and then using the upholstery technique on top of the eBay wrap.

Ya, this may be worth a try. Have you ordered yours already? Side note: It amazes me how many people keep commenting on the centre console wrap when the question is actually about the wood trim lol. I guess it's at least worth some conversation.

Mine cracked. Not sure if it was due to the tint. It's a known issue for 2018s. It was replaced under warranty by Tesla service centre. Only took 4 hrs...and got a model s performance for the day. Oakville Tesla.

I was here a few weeks ago. Didn't see the chargers in plug share. Ended up having to take the ICE vehicle instead. Well good to know for next time.

I have had no issues at all. It hasn't gotten very cold here but even with some snow on it. Opens up easily (I park in the garage so only snow was when it collected while I was at work) I would 100% recommend this kit. Unfortunately due to time spent at my actual job and having two young kids...

It is held in by two clips, but there is also two kind of hooks in the middle that you have to hook over. So you have to put it on 2 inches higher than where it would normally sit. Then push it downwards towards the bottom of the seat. Then push in towards the truck to lock the clips in place...

I did not, but I have removed the bumper before, so it wouldn't be difficult to do. A little more work though.
