Hi, I was wondering when the supercharging map will be updated?

There is a reason I ask

"I liked and believed the $10k shop a bit more as they had 45 Teslas onsite getting body repairs when I visited and seemed to know what they were talking about. When I told him my surprise, he said the problem was that the seemingly little quarter panel actually required the whole rear quarter...

what part of the car did he unplug? and do you know how he performed the reset? 'm having issues where we had ours installed at the service center and they told us the icon would show up in about 24 hours... Its been 7 days, no icon. I have already tried to do a reset with the steering wheel...
Hey!... where exactly does the homelink go? I know behind the bumper, but driver side, passenger, center... could you post a pic or any info on this? I need it!!
Yeah, the stock cable is 6 AWG.
So, last night I figured I'd go check to see what voltage the car was reading while charging. Sure enough it was about 2 volts drop from my service to the end point (the car).
Good point! The stock cable does take up to 80A. I imagine the insulation and rating of that... we'll call it SO cable allows that 6 AWG to be rated much higher than lets say 6 AWG THWN in conduit... but yeah... its like a 6 AWG 3 conductor and has.. I want to say 5 #18 AWG conductors as well...
I had some ideas in my mind before hand, I thought of using a tool balancer. I wanted to be able to ratchet it into a fixed position without constant tension though... When I started I though it was a great idea and why know one had thought of it before... then I stopped to think.. "someone...
Haha! I guess time will tell if that 2.12 volt drop is going to cause issues!
***When I calculated the voltage drop, I only figured the additional 25 feet I added. I did not figure the stock length of the cable at 25 feet already... so at 50 feet on a 6 AWG conductor at 247 volts... it should...
It would probably stop charging if there were a significant drop in voltage during an actual charge. However, the wall charger itself will operate on as low as 208 volts (a 3-phase wye connected system), not that we see that in residential.. but, In such a case, if it's maximum output is 48...
This isn't related to the charger installation, but its one of the only other videos I uploaded.
I added a motor to my hand crank wire stripper! Also added one other feature.
Haha! Being that I am a licensed master electrician, I have no worries about the electrical installation. Heh.. I don't know if you noticed in the video all the loose wire stung through the attic (it's low voltage for the strip lighting in the garage), it looks horrendous, but functional...
Yup, pretty much. It was a little unnerving cutting the cable from the charger, but I left the factory terminal rings and enough to reach that first junction box above the charger. Then had to run (3) #6 AWG and (4) #14 AWG (probably could have downsized the ground and the #14's) in the conduit...
This might help give a better visual on the mechanics.
Yellow box = This is a fixed point. the end of the charger cable is made up here.
Green pipe = I used 1" EMT conduit as a track for the "pulleys" to roll on.
Blue Pulleys = I used old dolly hubs for pulleys. I just ripped the tires off...
I wanted my charging cable to retract as well as lock in position. I have seen other videos and ideas around, but I couldn't find anything that would work well for my application. This is what I came up with and it works great. There aren't many details in the videos, just a couple views of the...
I noticed my navigation glitching. When I am driving it glitches to the north, no matter which direction I am traveling (other than when I'm already headed north). Anyone having this issue or know what might be causing it?

I wish they could have sent a mobile tech to do mine. It is a 45 min drive to the service center and it took them 3 and a half hours to do what ever they did.
We had an appointment to have the homelink device installed and set up. When we left the appointment the service tech said that the icon would show up in the next 24 hrs and could be set up once it has.... well, It has been 3 days since the install and We haven't seen anything yet
Well, I was mistaken. My wife was actually traveling up highway 75 to Tulsa and not the other direction. Still though, I should be passing by the next coming weekend.
I would imagine it will be done by then. My wife will be passing by tomorrow on the way up to Oklahoma, I'll see if she can swing by and take some pictures. Then I'll be stopping by the weekend of the 9th (Aug.) and I'll check on progress at that time as well.
Actually you can still purchase before VIN is assigned, as I did.. and a couple days later I got an email showing the VIN attached before I knew one was assigned.
