Got the tyre yesterday, much to my and Mr beaurepairs surprise Tyre was $700 plus the overnight courier cost. Not the cheapest as I've seen the non TO version for $530, but I still have a matched set, all be it one 6000kms newer than the rest and I have the car as it should be for the holidays...

So roadside assist was fruitful with a spare, the guys from supreme turned up with a 19" wheel and tyre last night which we fitted up sweet. Beaurepairs was a little more fun. The supplier is showing -8 PS4S TO (Tesla spec with the foam) in 235/35r20 so no luck there..... But there are 4 in...

Has anyone had the misfortune of needing to replace a PS4S 20" tyre yet? If so what did you get and who did you get it through? Just washed the car and found a nail through the shoulder. I'm guessing it's going to be a replacement tyre due to being on/near the sidewall, will ring Tesla...

We've got towing mode in service which lets you tow the car but no tow mode in driving.

Interested in one too. Imho the hardest thing is the wiring/smarts. There's a 3 pin plug in the back to plug into a module that then drives the trailer lights and tells the car it's got a trailer on. If someone can crack that... Take my money

We chose meridian and their EV rate last year, as it by far the best, and I think it still is. 8c kWh 10pm to 6 or 7am and 24c on peak including gst. Cheers for the links, good info. There is no mandate at all, more pointing out that's what we have to fall back on right now as the hydros are already generating from most of their water available. Fingers crossed we get more renewables so we can limit Huntly's usage asap.

Food for thought on this, NZ is already burning gas and coal in Huntly as the hydro output is already well used. Any additional load by EVs over the current grid loading will need to come from burning, until more hydros can be built or wind gets substantially more and or better. The other...

If you're NZ and have a smart meter talk to meridian about their EV power deal. Am on it with our i3 and it's 8c/kWh 10pm to 7am here in Wellington, no need to muck around with switches and if you can't charge in that window or need a top-up in peak hours just reverts to day rate :) The best...
