2019 model S with Raven motor

Original raven range was 370, bumped to 39x then 40x I have a Sept 2019 built MS Raven, got 365 charging to 100 after I bought it, and now only get like 345 at 100% when charging to go on a trip. Regardless, I've never EVER got anywhere CLOSE to advertised range in real world driving. And if...

Tesla Model S Plaid For sale or Trade

Not worried about transfer, just think cream and white interiors don't look good (esp cream) I'm a black interior kinda guy.

Man if it didn't have cream interior I might be interested in offering my 9/19 Raven model S

2019 MS Recent updates weird issues, anybody else?

After the last handful of updates to come through 2 things have happened. 1: My rear view camera is now glitchy when I back up. The camera stutters which is dangerous because it will freeze for a few tenths of a second while going backwards then unfreeze right as I'm inches away from hitting...

Painting the top of a fixed panoramic glass roof. Has anyone done this? Is it durable in the long term

Heat isn't really an issue, there is a video on youtube with a guy trying to tint his roof but at the tint shop they have the heat meter pointing at the sun and then inside the glass and the number went from hundreds to teens in terms of what it detects. The roof may seem hot but it's not...

Driver seat stuck in "gangsta lean"

I'm sure they just hook up a computer and run the range of motion through some UI and set the parameters I would assume.

Driver seat stuck in "gangsta lean"

Got my car back today, they 'recalibrated' the seat and now it works like normal. Also had a bad creek any time I hit the accelerator pedal from a stop, and a small clunk when I took off. They fixed both, said they lubed up some stuff and now it's good as new.

Request: Video review from Plaid owner!

Nope my Raven has crappy squirters that piss 2 streams of fluid so hard against the windshield it jumps over the roof and does very little to clean the window. I called service for this a while back and they said they have a new design shower style sprayer but couldn't swap mine out.

Driver seat stuck in "gangsta lean"

Well I missed my appt Monday, rescheduled to next Monday I'll report back, but sounds like a seat control module from the above poem. (and previous reply)

Driver seat stuck in "gangsta lean"

So even though the seat moves through the full range of motion except tilting forward past a certain point you still think it's a control module?

Any recommendations for Clear Bra and Tint install in Nor Cal?

I used MumSports in Fremont to install PPF on my car, their prices were a lot better compared to other xPel authorized dealers I called in the greater bay area. They do it all, PPF, ceramic coating, wheel powder coating, caliper paint... check them out.

Driver seat stuck in "gangsta lean"

Anybody else ever have this issue? my driver seat back won't tilt forward past leaning back of center about 15 degrees. I have an appt with a SC monday, I'm guessing they will just replace the seat.

Yeah, what Bill says... Hockey pucks. Luckily I play so I have a big bucket of pucks, usually stack 2 on top of each other to jack the car up.

    Who ordered S Plaid/Plaid+

I'm going to wait a few years until some PLAIDs hit the used market then shop :) If history serves as an indicator Tesla will do some crazy crap to devalue the used car market by dropping prices of new cars, I will swoop in to capitalize and buy a 150k car for sub 100s
  17. isracing

    PLAID Used market in 2022

Yeah, exactly what I was afraid of, but it's inevitable, 80k for my car 9/19, 72k for my car better 9/20 hoping to cash in on this and pick something up closer to 100k used a couple years after launch.

Wife wouldn't get the plaid, she'd get my 2019 S and I'd get the fast one :) or maybe I upgrade to a P for a pretty discount

    PLAID Used market in 2022

How many of you think there will be an OK used market 18mos or so after the release? wife's lease is up 6/22 and I think I might give her my S if I can score a good deal on a used one instead of looking for another car for her (maybe a Y). What say you TMC members?

    Ordered my MS Plaid

As much as I want a Plaid tesla is going to have to add some 2020++ creature expectations in a car of this caliber. Soft closing doors, power frunk and trunk with hands free operation (foot wave like cheap fords) 250KW charge capability, and a few other things expected. Or just wait a couple...

    3D printed lowering links

Yeah, but I forgot to mention when my buddy printed them out he had to mess with the resolution and size for his printer and the actual net measurements were like 1mm or just slightly over 1mm less than advertised, so I'm probably at a 6.8mm drop and the frist time was a 4.8 I think

Thanks Roy, I know what you mean when it comes to tech, So with that being said, you confirming that yours works but do you have FSD? I don't think anybody ever confirmed definitively whether Active FSD was a requirement for this to work. I did not buy FSD but it would be nice to have this...

    Range Vs. Capacity

Can anyone here speak to this comparison with facts and direct knowledge? I have a Sept 19 build raven, advertised 370 "Range" Now within the first week I tried to charge to 100% just to make sure I can charge to 370, and got 365 while it was still going at a snails pace at the supercharger it...

    3D printed lowering links

RIP Scott, his contribution to owners will be on the road for many years to come. New Raven Model S Long Range - Range Question

I've just resigned to NOT have my state displayed as range, and have it set to battery percentage. Do this and you will drive happier not festering because you only drove 3 miles and your range dropped 10. Also I think it is called RANGE because you actually have to drive it to see what you...

Feature comparison: 2020 Model S Long Range vs Performance

I was in the same dilemma you are, I am a sports car guy have drag raced most of my life and like having the fastest vehicle I can afford. Advice on body damage from accident today

I’m pretty sure diminished value claims are only valid if the vehicle has a substantial amount of damage where it’s on the borderline being totaled out or not. Meaning you know your car has been highly refurbished, and has been in a accident therefore diminishing its value. I doubt they will...

Does new software voice commands include suspension height changes?

Does new software voice commands include suspension height changes?

    New 40.50 Software

You can turn it off with the steering wheel button. You just have to be on the temperature setting if you press it it will turn climate control off, and I think if you press and hold it it will switch it to auto. If that doesn't work it has to be on the fan press and hold to switch to auto.

    Unplugged Lowering Brackets Installation?

PS: this was on a Sept 2019 model S, not sure if the sensor side studs are flimsy plastic on older models I did exactly this and it worked out perfectly. Only thing I suggest is to remove the link from the A-Arm/Link side first with some needle nose pliers or other tool to 'pry' the arm off...
