You will hear a high pitched whirl to some degree under hard acceleration, there is nothing you can do about that. my issue was a constant sound in that speed range regardless of input. Hard acceleration will not be silent.
A success story for me if anyone needs guidance...
My new Model Y was delivered and on day 1 had a pretty annoying high pitched whine, consistent from the 50-70mph range. It was hard to determine where exactly it was coming from as the sound would kind of envelope the whole cabin. It wasn't...

So I ordered a new Model Y Long Range (Black on black on Black) back in November 2021. My currently delivery estimate (New York) is showing August 20th to October 1st via the Tesla app. Is there any way of determining the factory of origin, really just out of curiosity? The VIN has not yet...
I'm sure this has been asked before but I cannot find the thread. If you add on the $199 monthly FSD upgrade, will this include the full FSD beta? Or at least get you in the line for the Safety Score program to earn it after driving experience is rated over a period of time?
Sorry if this was discussed elsewhere but I am unable to locate the thread. About one or 2 updates ago, I have noticed consistently that it seems when the car thinks I am not looking forward while in autopilot I get an aggressive BEEP and notification to put hands on the wheel. This BEEP...
I recommend just carrying your keycard around in your wallet, you'll forget you even have it. No reason not to as a backup, relying on the phone 100% isn't a good idea. Otherwise yes, the remote start via app is the only other way to give someone ability to drive car without key.
I have this issue as well, seems to have gotten worse in the two years I've owned the car. That might just be in my head though.
Some people above seem to be making a joke of the situation so I guess it's not that bad for them. Using wiper fluid above 20 miles an hour for me has essentially...
I just did the update and it has been working so far.. so we will see, however it also worked temporarily when I also reinstalled the app and re-signed in etc, so time will tell. I will check back in if i revert back to not working on cellular.
I have seen a few threads that make note of a potential connection, but haven't found a specific thread to this (post link if I am wrong).
There seems to be a common issue recently in that AT&T users are unable to connect to their car through the Tesla app through cell service (not wifi). The...
I just started having this issue. I have ATT, hasn't been working on cellular service but it does seem to work when on Wifi. It did seem to work temporarily when I uninstalled the app and reinstalled and logged back in. But stopped working about an hour later, strange.
Bummer when I am out and...
I have not ridden in an earlier Model Y, this was actually the first time I've ever been in a Y. I didn't even test drive it prior to ordering, so I came in with no real expectations.
Full disclosure, I've been driving my Model 3 for about a year and a half and will still be keeping it, I have...
Thought I'd share my pickup experience from today. Purchased new Model Y Long Range, White exterior, black interior, 19'' wheels.
Car had a small paint blemish above the right rear wheel, our sales agent made note and added it to their system so that it's repair will be free of charge and at...
I mean... in my opinion this trade-in comparison is as relevant and thought provoking as telling someone you prefer a hamburger over a waffle. It's a cool car though and understand your personal nostalgia, congrats!
Hello all - I am about to place an order on the Y but would just like to hear some facts/opinions/experiences about the tires on the different wheel sets. I've done some research but figured I would also hear you all out. I know nothing about tires etc so much of it goes over my head.
Comfort...
I'm tired of seeing all these threads about a bad experience someone had with their local service center, so figured I would start a thread to share some light.
One caveat, the issues I have had with my car have been rare and minor.
My first issue was that my car refused to download an...
I recommend you subscribe to the below thread, I had luck this AM when a spotter posted their availability, and others have as well.
8' Wall Connectors available now
You're missing Queens center.. although it really shouldnt count as its on the 3rd floor for a parking garage.
Really wish Little Neck was progressing... it's been 2 years.. For LIE commuters West of Plainview, our options are practically non-existent. and Plainview is always down!
Confirmed that this SC was down today 1/14/2020... unlike a previous time that this SC was out of commission, there was no advance warning via the Tesla navigation system. Which was super annoying...
True! I was being more facetious than people can probably pick up on... but interesting to see how this new A-La Carte mentality could play out along with the other software locked features such as ambient lighting, speakers (unless they are un-wired) etc.. In my option, the premium interior...
Does the premium connectivity require a software download? I received the notification but I do not yet have the sat. maps and traffic visualization etc.
My opinions below..
Relaxed driving (I don't have long commute (25 miles one way) but its NJ and heavy traffic) Autopilot is included. It wont change lanes but does everything else.
Tesla is incresing price as they are adding more features. Want to get it before price goes much higher
Traffic...
same here. seems to have gotten a bit more sensitive after my last update. i does eventually go away and isn't otherwise noticeable for me besides the annoying pop up that occasionally appears.
I use my own Eero routers yes my network, the car has worked perfectly fine on it previously. I noticed that the cars latest update was stuck halfway through and thats when I discovered it was unable to connect. Signal strength is full bars.
I am not sure about IP address, is there anything I...
