I’m with you Vostok. Now that I know I have the hardware, I now want the software enabled. The car is way too quiet with kids around.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Just had a look at my P- (Built: 13Aug, Vin: 5170xx) and it has a pedestrian speaker fitted. Of course it is not enabled, but I expect it will be at some point. Images attached. You can see the speaker through the grill. The picture of the inside is not great, but you can see the speaker...

Definite Guide: Find out if you have HW3.0 or HW2.5

Not so easy on the RHD - it's a different setup. There are three clips, but they don't release the panel enough to see the whole part number (the panel is connected to the glove box somehow). I will explore tomorrow with an inspection camera.

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

MSM ordered 25Aug. Agree re lack of info on the LR AWD - odd that they are currently importing P- and not LR AWD.

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

I got the same call this morning. Fortunately, they are able to supply the same colour as my LR AWD order. I took the offer.

Missing the T logo is just plain odd. I can't believe it left the factory like that.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

According to VIN Decoder | TeslaTap A = Single Motor - Standard B = Dual Motor - Standard or Performance C = Base A/C Motor, Tier 2 Battery (31-40 kWh) A and B make sense, but what does C mean? The above definition of 'C' seems to be a Model S reference - probably means something else for the...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

The last three Mercedes I have owned have had water-based paint. My understanding is that they have been using water-based paints since around 1998.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Thanks for posting the great video - very exciting day. The defects look relatively minor and fixable with no major rework. Will be interesting to see what the story is with the bumper. I hope you get to claim some time in it. Btw, the blue looks great.

Doesn't sound good for a new car - how big is the dent? how are the doors mismatched - colour, alignment? Pictures?

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

No, I don't have a VIN either. All good - happy to take delivery when they have a bit more time after the September madness.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

When I ordered my Model 3, the forms said that delivery was not available to my address in the centre of Canberra. I was told that I would need to pick-up from Sydney - suits me - no worries about trucks, forced acceptance etc.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

The problem is that such (avoidable) damage is rarely fixed properly. In the past I had a new BMW and Mercedes with paint defects on delivery. The 'brand new' BMW had sanding marks left under the clear coat. The Mercedes had a paint run on the bonnet (probably the result of an earlier...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Agreed - they really need to take more care of new cars - especially as we have reports of soft paint on Model 3s
