Any update on the effectiveness of the repair? Any idea what it would have cost out of warranty?

Model S 19" factory OEM wheels

Looking to sell set of 4 Model S 19" factory OEM wheels for $500. I replaced these on my 2015 70D in 2019, so about 4 years of use. One of the rims is slightly bent (I've marked it); the other 3 are in great shape with minimal cosmetic imperfections. Comes with 4 Tesla "T" center caps. More...

Model S: Pilot Sport 4S Tires & TSport 19" Rims

I've got the 19” TSS Flow Forged w/Michelin Primacy MXM4 (245/45R19). Tires were recommended by Tesla SC, where I also purchased and installed. Good luck!

NC Service Centers - Charlotte vs Raleigh

I can vouch for the Charlotte SC. Helpful staff, quick service and I’ve gotten a loaner each visit (pre-COVID). Your deciding factor between Charlotte vs Raleigh could be wherever you get an appt sooner. Congrats and welcome to the club!

Finally get to contribute to this thread: 19” TSS Flow Forged from @Tsportline in space gray w/Michelin Primacy MXM4 (245/45R19). Absolutely love them! Hard time deciding between gloss/matte black and the gray, but I like how the gray offers a slight contrast to the obsidian black paint.

MS scraping garage entrance - need advice

UPDATE: After trying this solution for a few days, I noticed that the small tabs around the edges of the tiles were starting to bend under the weight of the car, creating a sag in the tile and causing a slight drag. Don’t think these will be a long-term solution after all. On to experiment #2...

MS scraping garage entrance - need advice

The Diamondtrax Tiles did the trick! I’ll live with them a few more days before finalizing the design and securing to the floor, but no more scraping. For reference, here’s what I used: Diamondtrax Tiles - Diamond Plate Interlocking Garage Tile

MS scraping garage entrance - need advice

Treated plywood is also what my dad suggested! (Don’t mean that negatively - he’s a smart dude!) Here’s what I went with (silver): Diamondtrax Tiles - Diamond Plate Interlocking Garage Tile Each interlocking tile is 15.75” square and 3/4” thick. I got 10, but instead of doing 5x2, I’m going...

MS scraping garage entrance - need advice

Thanks! You both are spot on. I ran a series of tests today (OK, one test) and a 5/8” thick piece of scrap drywall on the garage floor was enough to get me over the lip. Now to find a sturdy piece of rubber about 5/8-1” thick. Thanks for the help! Side note: The MS only scrapes entering the...

MS scraping garage entrance - need advice

Thanks! So basically, a “speed bump” of sorts that would raise the back of the car before the scrape? I wonder if one of those curb ramps would work (and stay in place). I was initially picturing an extended ramp, but that might be massive and unsightly.

MS scraping garage entrance - need advice

I can add a pic if it helps, but basically dat ass too low so I need to give it a boost. Was hoping someone could suggest a product they’re using...and not “sell your car” or “buy a new house.” I saw the Bridjit but is that for curbs only? Oddly, the car is fine going into and up the driveway...

MS scraping garage entrance - need advice

Just got a 2015 MS 70D (no air suspension) and have found that it scrapes the lip of my garage entrance when pulling straight in and backing out. My driveway is a fairly steep incline to the garage, and the concrete lip is about 1 inch high. The front of the car clears fine, but the lip scrapes...

    My Carvana Experience

Great write up, very informative. One important thing to add is that you will not be able to talk with anyone at Carvana who has seen the car in person if you're buying outside your local market. That has been the most frustrating part for me, aside from lengthy delays. There is only a general...

Any trick to knowing what options are on a Tesla?

Buying from Carvana. Very long story short, they let the car sit around too long and the 12V battery died. Then they lost the keys. So now they definitely have to have Tesla mobile service come to them. That also means they have to transfer ownership to request service. It's been an adventure.

Any trick to knowing what options are on a Tesla?

Unfortunately, no one I can talk with at Carvana has seen the car in person. I'm still in the buying process (waiting on Tesla mobile service now). Normally, I wouldn't have a problem with waiting a few days to check out the car in person, but it's been several weeks and I just want to know if...

Any trick to knowing what options are on a Tesla?

Yep, for a robust tool, Tesla would need to unlock the vault, so to speak, and that ain't happenin'. But EV-CPO's robust database and crowdsourcing from, say, TMC members who are overly willing to share their car's specs (e.g. P85D+ | Ludicrous | 90kWh | Blue | 21" Grey | Pano | AP1 | Hi-Fi |...

Any trick to knowing what options are on a Tesla?

For context, I'm in the process of buying an MS from Carvana that I can't see in person. There have been lengthy delays and I just want to confirm the car's options -- AP activated? Air suspension? -- so I can determine if it's worth the wait while I shop around. Carvana CS reps also haven't...

Any trick to knowing what options are on a Tesla?

Bumping this to see if there are any other options now. I've seen a dozen similar threads, but they're also old and I find it hard to believe no one has found a way to get a list of basic options on Teslas being sold via third parties without visual inspection.

    Supercharger - Salem, Virginia

My in-laws live in Roanoke, so I'm eagerly awaiting this Supercharger. Any accessible chargers at Smith Mountain Lake? Maybe a marina or RV park? Literally nothing on Plugshare in that area. Ironic considering the dam(n) lake was made to create electricity.
