Is anyone else having trouble signing into the Tesla app. My app keeps saying vehicle connection error. I tried deleting the app, reinstalling it and signing in again. Nothing seems to help.

If you really want one, download the stats app and put their widget on your phone. It has many more shortcuts and it doesn’t open the app or ask to confirm when you select a function like open frunk, trunk, charge port etc.

Because to open the trunk you have to manually lift it and there is a button on your car, under the lid. So, there is no need to get your phone out to open the trunk, why put a button there on the shortcut app.

FYI. I did put a piece of duct tape over the speaker grill under the front bumper and it cut the volume of the pedestrian speaker by at least 50%

Don’t bother. Mine said oct - dec. I’m picking up my car Tuesday. If you purchased in August it will say minimum October maximum December. If you purchased in September it will say minimum November maximum January. It’s just a generic placeholder

Ordered white/white P3D on 8/19 in PA. I was told by my sales rep to expect a VIN this weekend as a very large shipment of white/white P3D's were en route to the east coast. Didn't really believe her but I just checked source code this morning and I have a VIN. 470xxx

That gives me hope. I ordered on 8/19 in PA and my sales rep emailed me today that the car was en route and to expect a VIN tomorrow or Monday.

Just got an email from my rep, unprompted, that her manager told her I should get my VIN in a few days and delivery within 2 weeks. I ordered white/white P3D on 8/19 in PA. Hope it’s true. That would put me at 4.5 weeks wait time

This is really discouraging that no one is getting any custom order performance models in the US for over a month. I suck at waiting!!

Bought it from Tesla a few months ago. They were in the online store and sold out very quickly. I bought one because I knew I was going to get a model 3 this year and I already had a NEMA 14-50 outlet in my garage.

Did they happen to mention when they’d start producing them for the US again??

I won’t. I looked at a couple with only 400 miles on them and they still had curb rash on the rims and scratch in the quarter panel.
