Vendor Antigravity Group 51R LiFePO4 Lithium battery for Tesla Model 3/Model Y

Thanks for sharing. I was hoping for a bit more weight savings but the features are pretty nice. OEM isn't heavy enough to allow as much improvement as hoped I suppose. I'll consider one after I take the -20lb freemod sitting in the driver seat.

MASTER THREAD: Comprehensive Road-Course Modification Guide — Optimizing the 3 for the track

It's a 2021 NCA. It's fun but I anticipate the 4680 being a massive leap forward in making track use way more simple and enjoyable.

MASTER THREAD: Comprehensive Road-Course Modification Guide — Optimizing the 3 for the track

After running a M3P for a couple years, I'm really enjoying the first impressions with the SR+ RWD. A lot TBD, but it's fast enough, so much lighter, and the charging logistics are a bit less complicated. I might try and get in a MYP 4680 later this year though. The 4680 SR+3 should be a real...

What was the eventual solution for the rear? I worked with Raceseng for a front shaft fitment that should be in stock and releasing soon, but haven't bothered with the rear yet. Need to, though. TIA!

    LSD (limited slip differential) anyone?

Trying to be an early adopter here but the overall liability concerns and resource scarcity make it really not fun to get too deep into this platform at this time. I've put a diff in before on a 30-year old platform with a decade of internet archives. This isn't that.

Concerns over Model 3 Performance brakes efficiency. How good is it? After market brakes?

PPIR and Road America were on stock calipers with UP pads, fluid etc. I never ran into fade because I don't do more than 1 hot lap in a row. Road America was pretty terrifying though. The upgrade for me was all about pedal feel/modulation and confidence than a need for capacity, and I feel like...

Concerns over Model 3 Performance brakes efficiency. How good is it? After market brakes?

Big fan of the Unplugged GTS Brembo kit. Tesla service had no complaints flushing my UP setup with BYOBrake fluid (Castrol SRF). There is a peculiar procedure with the ABS pump allegedly. I had a mush pedal for all 3 events last year and it feels like a new car after a dealer service flush...

I'm not sure it's been published but the general consensus I came to with Gridlife is the M3P base classes in StreetGT now, so you can go about as wide as you want. :/ I won't make NCM but will be at Gridlife Colorado again.

    Driver/Passenger Seat Removal + Emulators?

Is it up in the footwell near the dead pedal? I have no plugs from the main junction of all the seat harnesses, all through the doorsill to the kick plate in the footwell. I appreciate that and will note it in my memory bank but I think on a 100tw tire it could react quite different. Also, remember my options are limited in 100tw for anything close to 26.5" so it is a compromise always like most things seem to end up.

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I'm only interested in a square setup and working with a factory direct for a custom set, so I figured I could shoot for ideal instead of just ~+35 and playing with spacers to nail it. I've got the Brembo Type 3 rotors so I'm assuming they're a few mills thicker. I've alread got extended GT4...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

What’s the ideal offset for a 10” for a 275? I've always changed diameters and tires so I can't relate exactly, but in principle, if all size/tires are the same, a lighter weight wheel allows the damper to work more efficiently which equals a better ride and more mechanical grip. No issue if...

MASTER THREAD: Comprehensive Road-Course Modification Guide — Optimizing the 3 for the track

I'm switching to 19s to maintain 26.5" diameter and take out a bit of sidewall. It's a hunch so I can't really vouch for it yet, just make sure you stay close to that diameter to keep the drive motors in their peak efficiency range (and reduce heat).

    SR+...Any benefit to rear swaybar?

Just about every car I can think of has benefited from a rear sway bar. I'd definitely do one and it's a seriously easy 10 minute install once you have the car up in the air.

Meaning the actual tread width? I don't have the 295s at the house, they're actually at my friend's shop in Dallas. I just measured the 275 set I have unmounted with straight edges on the shoulders and a metric tape right at 275. edit: You were asking of sidewall I think, they're 30s so 25"

    Which carbotech pad compound?

Unplugged’s street/track pads were fine at Road America entering ~140mph 3 times in a lap. If you want to go as fast as possible in a qualifying/time attack style, you won’t build a ton of heat if you’re only doing 1 hot lap in a row and resource managing effectively. If you want to burn the...
