P9096 assigned VIN 3450 yesterday, home delivery scheduled in Westchester, NY with a delivery window of Jan 9-23rd. Check from PenFed on its way via UPS, due to arrive tomorrow. Sara at Tesla said the car is in the final stage of production, should be finished as soon as the factory starts up...

@gregincal - I agree with your logic. I'm P9096, blue 85 with air suspension, but just barely missed out on the "Do you want it in December" mail. I spoke with a Tesla product specialist yesterday, and his guess was it would be sometime in Feb for me.
