Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

We also had to shuffle some snow yesterday… Was on trip last weekend, 3-4 hours away, -22-27 Celsius, 2 nights, no overnight charging, running lot of errands there. I honestly could not tell any difference in supercharging from «normal» trips. As always navigating ~15km or more to the...

In a way you were perhaps right, if I have my personal teleoperated general Bot here, there is no reason it cannot teleport to an identical rental Bot e.g. in Rome - for me to roam the city through?

I bet that robot was as costly as Optimus will be when scaled, though? The clue is really the generality of the humanoid robot - paving the way for close-to-infinite scale!

Autumn: Bot pretty much exactly replicates the «Bot reveal dance»: (Guardian copy, don’t know original location).

I think that matters only to our feelings, buyers actually hunting for a new truck will compare actual features and performance to the rest of the market and decide from that. I an pretty sure they will not be out of buyers for a loong time.

I get a feeling this is what «they» are trying to do… Edit: Source Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Waterson. See who posted just after me 😄.

Scale, the bot will be produced in the millions (likely billions), why bother with a large range of very-low-volume (i.e. expensive) custom arms and legs if they in many/most cases will do the job sufficiently well - at a fraction of the cost per unit?

Disagree with the indication of «malice» in your statement, Tesla got the competition aboard because NACS has the superior coverage and quality over there, leading to a far better experience for all impacted EV owners. Not «capture them and kill them», I am 100% sure that is far from Elons and...

I think, due to delivery/transport waves etc, that single-month results may be misleading without context, trailing 3 months is much more robust IMO (but still indicates some of your point):

I am also bullish long term. Short term? More «indifferent», Q3 below Q2 is perfectly acceptable to me as long as I still trust the Tesla Team - which I do.

With factory cost @ ~1 Billion+ per pop (granted, probably a bit more now), and north of 20 Biilion cash-on-hand, liquidity and «high profits» is hardly their main concern currently, though…

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I think I made my point on «assumption-quoting» Elon (however likely the assumption may be. So not something I particularily believe or want to defend in a discussion, but it could in theory be calculated how much of the network we have financed through purchasing Tesla cars. That included...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

OK, I am just weary of all the things people tell us that Elon said, «Elon said that partner OEM EV owners won't pay more than Tesla owners» (my emphasis) is not the same as «it will really be an even playing field». I agree that it is a reasonable interpretation, but not what he actually said...

Sigh… I don’t understand all this guessing and doubts about Tesla details unknown to us, in many cases we will very soon know. I do personally e.g. fully believe in ~500 mile Cybertruck range. Why? Because they said so. And still do (and please don’t argue «but it says up to»)…: Spending as...

Dec-23 2022: «…as the Tesla and Twitter CEO took to Spaces last night, Twitter Spaces, to say that he will not sell any more Tesla stock for another two years. He said, oh, 18 months, 24 months…» 18 makes it mid-24, but it wouldn’t mean he will sell then - it’s rather a promise not to sell...

Battery replacement? Not sure I’ve heard about that… Would be nice if we could find some statistics, I personally believe this to be very rare… - almost to the level «Drive a car?? No-no, people get hurt by doing that».

    Dogecoin

Hm, probably off-topic, but I tried to get the Norwegian exchange Firi to support DOGE, but they just sent me to a voting form. Perhaps others would be interested in voting DOGE in 🤠? Think email needs to belong to a customer, so I might recruit one or two, I suppose…

Did you do 215? That was my plan, 100@215, but not as an order. I await what happens downwards, and buy 100 if it approaches upwards towards 235 (assuming that should give me time to react) - wise? Without giving investment advice, which seems imperative for folks to say…

How many of you will/may transition to CyberTruck?

Sure, luckilly, I think they have worked very hard to make the best, very much look forward to how it actually turns out. But I do not spend much time guessing, it is not that time critical to me - we will see (probably from position 1.000.000 or so in the queue in my case - hence plenty of...

How many of you will/may transition to CyberTruck?

Why on earth wold they back down on this? 3mm steel and next-to-bulletproof glass were more or less top-2 features in the reveal (well, almost, IMO), the steelball incident would only enforce their commitment. Time wasted, we will know soon enough.

Oh, OK, I assumed you meant FSD delivery would be problematic to cars without interior camera. It won’t, but FSD beta may be off limits for those if camera is used for driver monitoring - no problem since beta access is not really commercially contracted though…
