I have exactly the same problem - car manufactured in july 2018. Can't find sim box. Did you manage to replace sim card in your car? If yes, what did it take to do that?

The same story with my TMX - it stopped preheating the battery fro. 2019.36.2.1. I am just guessing if it is something to do with getting breaks to work a little bit to avoid corrosion etc.?

I asked Tesla to perform diagnostics on my car. We will see what they come with.

It appears that a new reduced charging curve for 100 kWh battery matches fairly closely one for 75 kWh. I suspect that BMS was mis-configured when flushing new BMS firmware to the vehicle.

My 07/2018 TMX 100D is on 2019.28.3.1 now - charging speed on SC fits very well in reduced speed curve presented here. Did you see any improvement with your car recently. What would cause such behaviour?
