    2022.4.5

God I hope so! I just opened a service request on mine because of how awful it’s been since v11.

    2021 Trunk Damage Upon Open/Close

Do you guys think that if these bolts were tightened again after delivery before using the trunk too much that the damage could be prevented? I just ordered a Performance and am horrified by this trunk issue.

Drop the 20" Uberturbines for 19"ers?

I also just ordered a performance and I found it funny that it says it comes with 20” uberturbines but if you zoom in on the stock photo it has 19 in tires on it lol.

    Rust on wheel spindles?

Can you share what suction cup tool you are using? I’m just curious

    Rust on wheel spindles?

Not a super uncommon thing to see - but I agree it is annoying. Although rare in your part of the country, you can stop it from getting worse by smearing some grease in there - white lithium, axle grease, etc. Anything to keep it coated will help. If you don’t want to touch it or don’t have...

    Torn passenger door seal

When I used to work at Honda, we used this silicone grease from Shin Etsu. This stuff is the real deal, it’s pricey but a little bit goes a long way. It offers great protection to rubber seals and even helps with squeaks and rattles. I just bought some, plan to hit my pano roof seals and door...

    Strange Homelink issues?

I just had my MCU replaced and had the same problem with my homelink. (2013 P85) When I was at home the link would turn green but did nothing when I pressed it. It didn’t show the little transmit icon when I pressed it anymore. After many failed attempts at relearning it and several reboots - I...

Unable to unlock via phone after MCU replacement

I just picked up my car from the Dallas SC this morning after an MCU replacement and my app was also unresponsive as far as unlocking the doors. SC locked the key in my car for me to pick up so I didn’t have a choice but to wait for one of their employees to help. The guy who helped me described...

Extending Cabin Overheat Protection With App

I’m not terribly concerned about it - was just sharing a trick I found for extending COP beyond the 12 hr mark if anyone was interested. No complaints from me. I love the feature.

Extending Cabin Overheat Protection With App

I do have a sunshade and every single piece of glass tinted on the car. :) It was only 96 today but the interior of the car still got to 128F. Thanks for the suggestions though. The preconditioning (without burning fossil fuels) was the big sell to the wife to let me get this car. Just...

Extending Cabin Overheat Protection With App

Hey guys, I just thought I’d share a little trick I found with my 13 P85 and the Tesla app - I have been searching for ways to extend my COP beyond 12 hrs and couldn’t find a real solution. Unfortunately my car bakes out in the Las Vegas sun all day and sometimes for more than 12 hours. Anyway...

How to replace the shell on your fob

Thanks for the write up, it was very helpful. I was able to change out both of my key fobs that looked like they had been run over by a semi truck. Bought my car “CPO” and that’s how they gave it to me. The price however - from the Las Vegas SC was a whopping $85 for the two with tax. I already...

The Clunk: What's the Worst That Can Happen?

Before making that drive, you should really check the torque / grease the splines on your axles. It will cost you almost nothing. If you’re not comfortable doing it, any mechanic with half a brain should be able to tackle it.

    “Limited Power” - 12v battery?

Just to add - the battery had 70% charge at the time of the incident.

    “Limited Power” - 12v battery?

Hey guys, just got my first Tesla - CPO 2013 P85 about a month ago. It’s been really great reading up on a forum with more sophisticated minds. I was hoping someone could make some sense of this for me - today when I hopped in the car and was about to drive off after having dinner, I saw for a...
