    Shocking Steering Vibration.

I bought a 3 Yr old Model S 3 years ago direct from Tesla. Driving it away, the steering wheel vibrated horrendously above about 60mph. Several Service Centre visits later they did fix it, something to do with airflow under the front. Been perfect ever since, so I do hope you get yours fixed.

    Bad experience with inventory car

Do they send you photos of any damage or is it literally assumed to be in as new condition?

    Public BP Chargemaster Issues

They can be temperamental but when they work they are pretty good. If you have local ones you get used to which work, which stop working and quickly switch to a new one and apopt that as your favourite! PS that is using a card and not off the app.

Model Y and dog guards/dog mats

Do you reckon you could fit a second in? Looks plenty of space, I can fit 2 in my S and hoping to swap to a Y at some point.

Owning a Tesla in London without a home charger?

I've had a model S for a few years now, live in London on street with no charging. I have a supermarket very close by I plug in for 4 hours on a 7KW charger, luckily there are 10+ of them and it's pretty reliable. BP Pulse so like £8/month for as many charges as you want. Also a new BP (I...

    Uk Company Car Expense Help

I had a similar discussion, it's down to how the legislation is worded (although can't remember the specifics as was a few years ago). Although I could only claim 4p I'm pretty sure I was told I could claim the remainder of the 45p/mile value back from HMRC. So if you submit your own tax...

Ready to join the Tesla club- 2nd hand model S questions

Sounds odd but try getting insurance quotes on different models. A 2016 75 was way more expensive (like 50%) than a 90d for some reason, despite being slower, so worth checking. I find MCU1 a bit slow however I'm not really that bothered and it wasn't worth the jump up in cost to a slightly...

    Buying a Used Model S

I'd echo a previous post and check the warranty point. Wasn't sure if you were buying direct from Tesla or not. The big differentiator for me was the boot, I needed a bigger boot for a big dog and the 3 was just too small. The downside is the car is very wide and I'd be tempted with a Y when...

    MOT South East London recommendations?

Does anyone have a recommendation for MOT testing in South East London? Concerned at being fobbed off when wanting to check where they jack the car etc considering the risk of an expensive battery dent and the inevitable "wasn't us, was there beforehand"!

    Test drive completed...not sure...

Would a second hand model s or x work or fit your circumstances? Not sure from a tax point of view and they are a chunk wider than a 3 but may help on the premium feel if that is an important factor. May be worth just test driving an S for comparison if you're there anyway!

    Public Charging in London

Public charging 100%, using Polar subscription and 7kw chargers, in case you have any nearby

Thinking of buying a M3P or a classic Mercedes

Have you considered a 2 or 3 Yr old Model S instead of a new M3? Acceleration still pretty quick at 4.2 secs and a bit more like a normal / existing car with stalks, buttons etc as expected.

    Buying used from Tesla

My experience - I was a bit concerned with all the close up images of cosmetic issues that they send over to you via a Web link. Decided to go ahead (can always return) and was pleasantly surprised that the cosmetic 'issues' highlighted were much less noticeable in person, so don't let that...

    MS Frunk opening problem

I had an issue opening the frunk on my S recently, after not opening it for quite a few months. It would open a few inches and then seem to get caught. A bit of persuasion helped it.

    Some advice on used purchase

Price sounds good. Any major issues on the photos they send you and 'defects' raised? (My defects looked much worse in photos and were pretty minimal in real life) Mine also seemed to have refurbed or new alloys and tyres.

CPO buying – anyone else having extreme difficulty with Tesla UK ?!?

I bought a 3yr old S 90d a few months ago direct from Tesla. I was a bit concerned with all the close-up photos of 'damage' areas, ie scratches etc. However when collecting the car the damages were obviously amplified by close up zoom photos that are really non issues so super happy with the...

    Recommend dash cams

What model did you go for? I've been looking into this as have no WiFi where the car is parked, so for both software updates as well as primarily for security. I assume you then just got a decent allowance 4g sim card and monitor your data usage? How much data do you typically use?

Tesla website - used inventory - gone

I bought a 2016 Model S direct from Tesla a few months ago so thought I'd share my more positive experience. Enquired via website once or twice with no reply, however when they did get in touch and I had a contact (Pieter who was very helpful) then it was quick to get specs and images of cars...

Car purchase and insurance mis-match - 70D to 75D upgrade

Buying a Model S through Tesla and they've sold it as a 75D whereas it is a 70D that has been software unlocked to 75D (face-lift 2016 Model S) and a 75D badge applied. I can't see any other issues apart from car insurance - I believe it's listed as a 70D on the V5 so doesn't match when i...
