Retrofit CCS compatibility onto earlier (NA) Model 3 - DIY approach

Had the same with my Canadian credit card. Called the bank and they weren’t seeing on their end as well. Tried all the combinations of dates and 2 digital security codes people said had worked in the past.

Retrofit CCS compatibility onto earlier (NA) Model 3 - DIY approach

When you shipped it to Delivered using the address provided how does it link that package I get sent to them to my Delivered account? Is there something specific you need to put in the delivery address To line like a customer number etc?

Placed my order July 5th and got the same email today.

Retrofit CCS compatibility onto earlier (NA) Model 3 - DIY approach

I printed off the part list from the Tesla site and circled the part number I needed when I walked in to my SC and had no issues. On the parts list it says they can sell it over the counter with no VIN. Sensitive parts are marked Tesla Only otherwise.

    FSD Beta 10.11

Thanks - Good to know it's been like this for a while. Extra worrisome when it's on a curved road doing that with parked cars. I'd drive it hugging the centre of the road for the most part but I'm sure there are cases where this isn't the right solution too.

    FSD Beta 10.11

New Canadian beta tester here....quick question for others on 10.11.1 from anywhere. For a residential lane which is extra wide to allow for parked cars on the right do you find the car is swerving between the centre road line and the centre of the full lane based on if there are parked cars...

    Canada - FSD rollout

That looks correct. By default it’s turned off in Autopilot settings but they could still go in and turn the beta on in there if installed. Which would be a disaster for your car if they didn’t know what they were in for.

    Canada - FSD rollout

I received and installed last night around 11pm MST. Was at score of 100 on 4.5 before. I don’t use TeslaFi either for what it’s worth. Also, no app notification still for the upgrade. Had to open the app to see it was there. Also, no email for anyone wondering. Took it for a first go this...

    Supercharger - Fernie, BC

A second Revy Supercharger is going in? I hadn't heard about that but very much needed! There was a wait both times I was recently through there during week days. Too many people charging to 100% at every stop.

Model 3 refuses to wake up via app

Adding to the list... mine got noticeably better over the last few days. I think I remember there was an App update though. No car update.

    Free Premium Connectivity is back?

Mine in Canada from Oct 2019 when I log into the Tesla site now shows: Subscriptions Premium Connectivity Free Unlimited I have been paying for the last 2 months as well.

    Cell Service Down?

Having this same issue... assumed it was just me. App sits "waking up..." forever when parked in the garage. When driving around it seems to connect to LTE ok but still spotty.
  15. C

App failed to wake up the car. “Vehicle connection error”. Anyone else ?

ditto. I thought it was just bad cell reception but happened just after the last update.

    QuickJack BL-5000SLX sale @ Costco

Had the same feeling that I won’t use it often but when you do it’s really handy and quick to setup. That said it’s heavy and I sure wouldn’t want to move it as a rental item. Each side weighs close to 100lbs plus you have the hoses and hydraulic pump. You’d need a truck to move it most likely...

    QuickJack BL-5000SLX sale @ Costco

I have the 7000 which I believe is the same spread. It fits, and I had the car in the air for 48 hours without issue, but as a heads up my jack pads sit on only half the rubber block. At first it made me a little nervous but still feels perfectly stable. I believe (not tested but ok according...

    Supercharger - Jasper, AB

Golden has a really nice location with a park (I stopped there last week too) but be aware according to Plugshare 2 of the 4 chargers aren't working - only 2 A/B are working. May have changed now but wanted to give you a heads up. Also, the Tesla App showed me 2 chargers were active as I was...

Costco: QuickJack BL-7000SLX online - $1499 shipped - Work on your Tesla in isolation

I didn’t take any photos of the specific jack points and I have a 7000 but can you tell you that the steel pucks I use hang off the front and back by about 1/3. The rubber blocks on the jack compress quite a bit so the rubber is nearly touching the car. I was slightly concerned seeing this as...

Putting the 3 on all 4 jack stands

I couldn't find a safe, reliable way to do it and ended up buying a quickjack which is only more expensive. Just responding to say I couldn't find a better solution that people using wood blocks, etc which you've probably seen already.

Group Buy for Power Trunk/Frunk Liftgate!

That's odd. I haven't had a chance to even open up what I received yet but at first I needed a new controller for the open/close from the screen feature which I paid for. Then I just needed a new harness so they refunded back a small bit of money. But now it sounds like I just needed the new...

Costco: QuickJack BL-7000SLX online - $1499 shipped - Work on your Tesla in isolation

Thanks for the feedback. Have you tried it cross wise instead of down the sides? looks like the 7000 .9” higher in its fully collapsed form as well.

Costco: QuickJack BL-7000SLX online - $1499 shipped - Work on your Tesla in isolation

Reading mixed views on if this will work without the extensions on a Model 3. Any one tried this sideways as well? Just starting to research as this would come in handy pretty soon.

Group Buy for Power Trunk/Frunk Liftgate!

They sent me a photo of the wires. Looks like it replaces the existing wiring harness we have now. Means undoing all the wiring in place now I think which is going to be a bit of a pain I think but we’ll see what happens when it arrives.

    Anybody bought from Taptes?

After posting this they reached out to apologize for the lack of contact to try to make things right which is more than most places have done with bad customer service reviews on here as of late. They sent a new charging pad which is working now. Feels like they are trying to turn around the...

Group Buy for Power Trunk/Frunk Liftgate!

I got the same message... no box needed, just new cables and a software update and getting a bit of a refund. That said, originally I was told no wiring needed to change, only the control box so seems odd. I've asked about that but no answer yet.

I have this same issue and the same theory as you. Can’t offer any help unfortunately and have just lived with it so far but I feel like the struts are slightly off from each other.

Finished up my DIY Ceramic Coating

Looks amazing! Did you ceramic coat the PPF as well? I've had Xpel ultimate covering the whole front since October and wondering if it needs (can be?) polished and coated. I'm assuming you don't normally polish the PPF as its self healing but haven't started the research yet.

    Anybody bought from Taptes?

I wouldn’t recommend them now. Wireless charger stopped working on the passenger side for me. Customer service in regards to new orders has been non existent. Phone numbers on their website stopped working and getting a response to emails is near impossible. This has been going on for me since...

    Tesla Owners in Alberta

Ya, getting the chips fixed quickly is the most economical option... followed by insurance coverage on the glass as a backup. I'd heard a lot stories of loaners or Uber credits but the team in Calgary was awesome when I called on them. Was really happy - much better than my experience for past...

    Tesla Owners in Alberta

I've only had my Model 3 since September last year but will help give some insight. How are the windshields holding up with all the Alberta gravel? For people that got something like the ExoShield window film, how has that held up with all the salt/mud/rocks? Same as any other vehicle so...

    Continuous Press Summon in Canada?

See the same thing here... interestingly though we can't double tap the park button for self parking yet. I thought that was disabled since Canada had the continuous hold only mode.

Stats app and Apple Watch series 4 users. Feedback

It's been bad enough (either too slow or just not working at all) at opening the frunk that I stopped using it. It's faster to put down what I'm carrying, open the Tesla App and hit the button in there. Apple Watch 4.

Lightweight wheel owners - your feedback on unsprung reduction vs stock

Definitely going forged now after reading this thread. Last thing I want to do is slow my car down dramatically and pay for the pleasure of doing so. I don’t plan on going to the track with it and my stock tires are 18” so I won’t be able to reuse them. I really like how the 19s look with a...

Lightweight wheel owners - your feedback on unsprung reduction vs stock

I had settled on a set of summer wheels until I read this thread and realized they are 31 lbs per wheel. So now looking at something lighter but still 19”. Is there a big difference between 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 (looking at the Titan 7s). I assume the handling would be slightly but no fit issues...

Tire/Rim size recommendation for new m3 owner

Nope - it won’t see a track I don’t think so I’ll go 19x8.5. And I’m assuming it’s best to run both the front and the rear the same? Have read a bit about using different widths I believe but that doesn’t seem like the best idea as the centreline would be off, no? Appreciate your help, thanks!

Tire/Rim size recommendation for new m3 owner

Thanks for writing this up - very informative! Timely post as I was just starting down the road of new summer wheels. You’d recommend 19x9.5 (45 offset) over 19x8.5 (38 offset) even for road only? Been looking at Asanti ABL-14’s in 19” for my AWD non P and those are my 2 options for sizes...

Does Canada get all the features of 2019.40.50.1?

Was an iMessage not SMS but iMessage worked in my last vehicle so would assume it would work here too. Will try again later. Also noticed the “Messages” tab was missing from the phone app which I think I saw in a video earlier.

MASTER THREAD: 2019.40.50.x - Driving Visualization improvements, new voice commands, Camping Mode

I didn’t get the visualizations in Canada either. I’m on HW3 as well. Adjacent lane speed control was added though from the last US release.

Does Canada get all the features of 2019.40.50.1?

Got it this morning. Have HW3. No visualizations. We get adjacent lane speed control though. No stop sign/stop light recognition from the last US release yet either. Otherwise the same games, voice controls, etc as the US. I think text message to voice is not working in Canada or I have to do...

Group Buy for Power Trunk/Frunk Liftgate!

Interesting point. I don't typically double check that it's latched down. I had been driving for about 30 minutes and hadn't used the frunk in a few days but hard braking obviously caused something loosen off enough. I think I'm going to move the locking mechanism held by the two bolts down...
