Things you may not have discovered about your Model S?!

I didn't know Tesla sold their own air pump. I'll definitely have to look into that. Thanks.

Things you may not have discovered about your Model S?!

Interestingly, my pump doesn't indicate the amperage anywhere on the unit. I will contact the manufacturer to find out. Robert, if yours works fine, than I may just need to look into getting a new pump that pulls fewer amps.

Things you may not have discovered about your Model S?!

I used to carry in my vehicle a portable air pump that plugs into a cigarette lighter socket when needed. It eliminates the need for having to go to a gas station to put air in my tires. I've had it for many years and have used it on several of my previous (non-electric) vehicles with no...

Recreating the NY Times Road Trip - Feb 15-17, 2013

I've had my Model S for several months now and I took it on the road last weekend for the first time (roundtrip from DC to Philly). I stopped at the SuperCharging station in Delaware on the way up and on the way back and was able to fully charge both times in less than an hour. I read the NYT...

    Closing the Frunk/Trunk?

I love the extra space provided by the frunk in my Model S. Great for grocery bags, as it holds them upright, unlike the rear trunk that's just one big open space. However, I'm less inclined to use the frunk due to the lack of the auto open/close feature. Having to open and close the frunk...

    East Coast Supercharging network

I'd love to see a SuperCharging station on the NJ Turnpike, perhaps somewhere around I-195 (exit 7a). Don't know what politics are involved there, since Sunoco seems to have exclusive gas station rights at all the rest stops. If this is not possible, maybe they'll consider putting one along...

    Model S: Clever Vanity Plates

I like that one. Let us know if it gets approved. :-) I have "SIN GAS" on mine. (Spanish for "without gas") .

    East Coast Supercharging network

Thanks Alset. According to that site, the fuel mix for Delmarva Power (which supplies power for Newark, Delaware) is 44% coal, 43% nuclear, 17% gas, and the rest is "other". Just something to consider next time you are charging your Tesla at one of these stations. I prefer to charge my Tesla at...

    start code to prevent stealing

I own both a Roadster and Model S. The Roadster has an optional 4-digit security code feature, although I rarely use it. Wonder why this feature was not put into the Model S? On a related note, does anyone know if there is some kind of adapter to allow the Model S key fob to be attached to a...

    Audio: Testing audio formats

Hello, I'm new to this thread, so pardon me if this question has already been answered. I've had my Model S for a few months now and have yet to get my iPod to work when plugged into one of the car's USB jacks. At the time the car was delivered, I was told that this issue would be addressed in a...

    East Coast Supercharging network

I'm curious to know what is the source of the electricity that is provided at these new SuperCharging stations in Delaware and Connecticut. While it's nice that the power is free, I'm more curious to know where it comes from. Coal? Gas? Nuclear? Solar? Would be nice is Tesla shared this info.
