So the holiday update is a sure thing and it has the new UI as confirmed broadly last night. Any word on older model S cars and if the new UI comes to us?

Apparently the only hope would be if someone got Elon to take the bait on twitter on this major gap for all the model S/X buyers of the past.

Has anyone gotten any more insights on this for all the model S owners not having remote sentry move viewing feature ? Any insights if we will ever get it?

I expect a lot of subtle gains in various areas and not always apparent unfortunately. Small incremental improvements is the name of the game here. Not bad, but also less rewarding for the user of today.

If I remember correctly it was just about a year ago I was learning of this beta coming and first videos dropped, at the time thinking I was going to get the software imminently..year later, I think I am hrs away. Disappointment is best served with side of reality.

Working again for me

Odd but now the safety page won’t load for me in the app. All else works in the app. I logged out and restarted all twice. Just get error page failed to load. I was at 100 score and didn’t drive today so not to screw up, but now this happening. Anyone else ?

My guess is also something in a parking lot as well given the rules dont apply there. Basically some form of AP in a parking lot while you are in the car versus just smart summon (designed for when you are out of the car). fun guessing. I bet Monday/Tuesday the guessing is over.

The way they introduced the stop sign feature makes sense to me. They need to get the feature out to collect data in the form of some reinforcement of their ability to detect correctly. Try this as a one time fix, go into charging and select “off” and then go back to selecting scheduled charging. Plug in again. Does it wait now to charge per the time set? usually that cycle works for me.

Do you have schedule departure enabled? I recommend you swap it to scheduled charge and then off. Plug in and see what happens. also when this happens and you can’t stop charging from the app, what happens from inside the car if you hit stop charging? Does it work? I have seen the same stuff...

. Ahh isn’t that what “scheduled departure” feature does?

For me it’s more about getting the preconditioning scheduling capability then charging. For this benefit is why I even look to scheduled departure feature. I don’t need to schedule the charging in reality, but that of course is my situation.

I guess it’s my fault for agreeing to take early software downloads.
