Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

I'm like you, not worth delaying the excitement/enjoyment of having & driving this new/refreshed M3P. I'll probably end up not purchasing FSD and do a subscription. I use FSD every time I drive my car

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

In 4 1/2 years I have purchased two M3s both with FSD which has cost me a total of about $21,000 I would love to buy this M3P and I would do it now except it really eats at me to spend $8000 more for FSD. Maybe the best way would be to subscribe to FSD for $99 a month and then it wouldn't bug...

Lowering springs for Model 3 Highland

Very nice I have been considering lowering springs. But now not so sure... I talked to a guy a couple days ago and his M3 was really lowered. Way too low for me. He had Coilovers. He mentioned all the cars he has seen and one of his own that had lowering springs made the car look lower in...

Tom Today, I saw a Tesla M3 that was really lowered (I thought too much so but hey, I have teeth on the front of my car. Everyone's different). I stopped him and we talked. He told me every car he has seen with lowering springs only made the car look like the back end of the car was lower...

In my case, is having a pro do a ceramic coating worth it?

joebruin77 Thanks for the post I'm in my 80s and feel this will be my last car. So, appearance and protection is important to me but I'm not able to able to do all that is required to produce a good pro like ceramic coating. That's why I use an excellent ceramic spray. It's simple, easy, no...

In my case, is having a pro do a ceramic coating worth it?

It's not a "wax job". It's ceramic coating and I do not have the expertise to apply pro-ceramic. It takes hours of buffing and prep to get the car's paint, rims, glass ready for ceramic. The pro I have talked to applies two layers. I know the ceramic he uses costs about $145 for a very...

In my case, is having a pro do a ceramic coating worth it?

I would love someone knowledgeable let me know whether a ceramic coating by a pro is needed or what I am now doing is fine I have a 2022 M3. The front of the car has been PPFd and its color is Tesla white. I am considering having a pro do a ceramic coating for the cost for $1000 using Shine...

    Tesla road tumbler top explained

I was looking at this tumbler for my wife for coffee and I'm glad I found this thread. My wife has dementia and it looks like it might be a tad difficult for her to use or understand. Am I correct in thinking?

Smelly stinky socks / mold in Model 3 AC

A poster above said... "With the new seal put in place it won't suck in air from the top anymore, I think it would get it from other openings? Maybe that's why Tesla didn't run the seal all the way" My question to you is... Have you noticed any lack of or diminished air coming through the vents...

Thanks I'll stop trying to find away to turn on Set Speed. Looks like there isn't.
  31. JimShaw

    I have an FSD question

EV-Rider-FL You were very knowledgeable about FSD and helped me I have another... Why is the Set Speed greyed out and not useable? Even when Minimal Lane Change for Current Drive is turned on, the Set Speed is still greyed out. Am I missing something?

    I have an FSD question

It was so easy, flip a switch to make the computer ask before making a turn Why the change?
  33. JimShaw

    I have an FSD question

To me that's sad. I like a tad bit more control in that area. Now, I have to stop the car from taking the turn which turns off FSD

    I have an FSD question

    On FSD
  35. JimShaw

    I have an FSD question

That will turn off FSD What I meant regarding fighting it off was once the car turns on the turning signal to make an FSD turn what is the best way to stop that turn and keep it the straight path without disconnecting FSD

    I have an FSD question

In 2019 I purchased an M3 and became a FSD beta tester. I enjoyed FSD but didn't need to do it again. I sold the 2019 and purchased a 2022 M3 and did not add FSD. Two years later, because this is my toy, I succumbed to the "buy it" call that kept bugging me. A few days ago I purchased FSD...

Rolled forward on its own in the garage?

I also had something strange happen. My wife was in the hospital in a room on the second floor. I had parked our M3 in a parking spot directly outside the hospital's front door. I was with my wife until around 1am. I left her for the night and came out the front door to discover our car had...

I would like your thought on a possible change to my car

To be a tad different: I had the above rims made for me with my off-set specs. Stock rims are 9.20 Tires 235.35.20 My fronts are 8.5.20, rears 10x20 front tires 245.35.20, rear 285.30.20 Since this will probably be my last car to own, I might do a wrap when/if I get tired of white

I would like your thought on a possible change to my car

My wife wanted me to buy the MS Plaid but I decided on the M3P and very happy. I've owned a Porsch or two over the years but wouldn't trade with what I'm driving. All I wanted was to be a tad different than all the other, many white M3's in the neighborhood.
  44. JimShaw

I would like your thought on a possible change to my car

I agree. I have asked a number of wrapped Tesla owners and not one said the wrap has caused problems. Tesla was mainly talking about a wrap that has a lot of metallic flakes in it.

I would like your thought on a possible change to my car

I would like your thought on a possible change to my car

I was going to wrap but a couple Tesla managers told me that that was a bad idea because they have seen many wraps have trouble with the sensors. They also said they have seen ghosting with PPF. My whole front has been PPFed but the sensors have not been covered. Maybe when the sensors have...

I would like your thought on a possible change to my car

Then you're part of the "white" problem of too many I purchased my first white Tesla in 2019. Back then people would follow me to get a better look and would ask me to stop so they could get an even better once over. Only a few Teslas out there Now I'm trying to do my best to separate myself...
