Hey guys, MS owner here, but I've started recieving the same error. It could be an unrelated cause, but service center have done some remote diagnosis and asked for it to be brought in. Apparently whatever checks or remediation that needs to be done requires the MCU to be removed.

Mines 207XXX. But also is a model S not an X. I think you're right.. it's likely APPC and APFC are just no longer offered and reference have been removed from the api's too. Weirdly for me I have both EAP and FSD as upgradable options but theres no way I would do that if I already have EAP...

Took 3 days for me, but they didn't touch the car until the 2nd day likely because they were busy and since they gave me a loaner I guess there was no rush. by the time they finished I wasn't able to pick it up until the third day. It's defo a half day job but depends how lucky you are with timing

2017.. had my hardware upgraded to HW3 when I had MCU2 done last week. I'll ask service center and see what they say.

That's what I'm thinking, but curious why I have both EAP and FSD as upgrade options... When in reality I think I should only be seeing FSD at a reduced cost.

I just had my MCU2 upgrade here in the UK. I asked to keep my old hardware and was told the hardware was 'restricted' items. I'm not sure if it's even legal for them to keep your old parts since you own the car but they were pretty stern about it.

I had this failure with my instrument cluster while on MCU1 (upgraded to MCU2).. but just wanted to say I failed MOT just last week for the instrument cluster failing to boot up.

Yeh it does seem like they are trying really hard to set a precedence on any negotiation. I think that was the only sour note for me... They initially said no loan car because it's an upgrade not a warranty job.. but when I asked them to fix my MCU1 instead they said they'll give me the loan...

Yep, loaded with all the entertainment apps (Netflix YouTube etc.) Hopefully we arent too far off for MCU2 upgrades in the UK. seeing as a Tesla MS2016 loaner itself isn't sporting MCU1 seems like the defect is undeniable.

I get this non wave guilt too!!! I'm just not quick enough. I think the vehicle should have a feature where it detects other Tesla's and turns off one of the headlights when passing each other, like a gentle acknowledgement. kinda like a wink

I got 2020.12.11.5 today - previous version 2020.12.5 . I usually don't sit in the car while the updates install but noticed it made changed to the ECU and Autopilot. Is that usual for all updates? The release notes don't mention anything special, except the out of order stalls.

Finally updated to 2019.36.2.1 yesterday evening. Interestingly the car wouldnt sleep at all last night. I made sure no settings had changed but teslafi kept reporting that the car did not go to sleep :( Going to do a reset and see if I can get it to sleep again. Lost about 5.5miles overnight...

Looking at your screenshots from yesterday and today I would have expected a single sleep entry instead of multiple ones.. I don't see why your car is switching to idle (unless you're waking it, even then it shouldn't take 4hrs for it to go to sleep again). I think thats what you need to...

That is an unusual amount of idle time. But glad you're seeing some sleep time and the range loss looks good too

Nice!! Seems that something is interupting the sleep. Have you been using the official Tesla app inbetween? If you're unsure check the raw data log it should tell you some more info. I just woke up (and also woke up the car) and continuing from my previous screenshot, I've not lost any range...

Ahh okay, so you defo want it to start showing some sleep cycles. In teslafi go to Settings > Sleep Mode > enable. I left all my other settings as default. Then you'll want to monitor the raw data. Help > raw data. Here you should see 'logger notes' column. For me it showed like Sentry active...
