Will these wheels fit a 2022 Model 3 Performance?

Adding on to this thread... I have a 2023 M3P and am looking to replace the stock 20" Uberturbine wheels with the following, which are 1.5" wider (9" stock vs. 10.5") and have a slightly different offset. I'm looking to get a flush fit. Any idea of whether these will fit or if I'll need a...

    You might consider charging slower

I've seen this many times lately - why do people use the word "loose" when it should be "lose"?

Anyone tried to get an insurance quote for Model S?

I use Liberty Mutual in Arizona and added the Model S to my current policy (two other cars), and it seemed very reasonable - - additional $350 for 12 months.

    Financing options

It's funny that Alliant requires entering cents. Who applies for a loan of $50,000.62? Round it to dollars for crying out loud

No wait - buy it now - P85's?

If you wouldn't mind sharing, what sort of a discount did they offer on yours compared to website pricing?

    40 kWh Delivery Timing

Just got an EOL date of 5/27 with delivery expected early June. Reservation #938 - this has been a looooong wait!

Where do you find EOL date?

    40 kWh Delivery Timing

Just a year - I put my reserve down in June 2009 and still haven't seen my 40. I'm beginning to wonder if it's a myth! :scared:

    Random Model S sightings

Thanks for the explanation - that makes sense. I'm guessing it wouldn't be too hard to modify the non-tech whiskers aftermarket to look like the chrome whiskers. Wondering if anybody has done this...

    Random Model S sightings

Am I missing something or do the fog light areas look different on these cars?

driver crashes Model S into restaurant

On point 1, the probability of something like this happening compared to the cost of installing protective posts around all public buildings is likely not worth it. It would be like someone in the Sahara buying flood insurance - - I guess it's entirely possible but not worth the expense.

Something is happening (Tesla website down) - Leasing Option News

It sounds like this would only be good for those that "need" a new car every 3 years or like the peace of mind of being able to sell at a fixed price down the road.

Something is happening (Tesla website down) - Leasing Option News

Very interesting. Let the debate on leasing vs. owning commence :scared:

    Dead Calm

Many states have a guideline for 30 days within the first 2 years - look it up. Peksman - glad that you were able to get your car back quickly and I hope you don't have any problems going forward - Congrats!

if I could only charge at work. ;-)

My company just put in EV chargers in the parking garage and I am super psyched. And I didn't even have to ask for them

    Dead Calm

I honestly hope that everything works out for this person and the car. I just know that I would be as frustrated as he probably is plunking down a good deal of money and not being able to drive much at all in the first month of ownership. Fingers crossed this doesn't happen to me

    Dead Calm

Wrong - I'm no lawyer and I'm not here to argue, but I know each state has their own statute. In some states, lemon applies if your car is out of service for a certain number of days. Also, I count 2 repairs...

    Dead Calm

Sorry, but this sounds like a lemon to me. Niceties aside for Tesla being a start-up, I would be very annoyed at this point.

Alloy Gators Rim Protection (Pics and info)

I agree - definitely makes the rims look smaller. I'd be interested in how the silver ones look, if someone were to order those.

First Day of Spring in a Model S

Too bad you don't live in Phoenix! Also, your signature says 21" wheels but I see 19"?? Did you order both and use 19" in winter?

Would be interested in any details on your new setup and how it sounds...

    audio system oem...?

vcor - thanks for the great info. Does the front have a separate tweeter (component speakers)? Or is this 6" a full range speaker?
  24. B

    audio system oem...?

Not sure if I agree with fixing up the rears - I will most likely disable them and focus on the front speakers. I prefer the soundstage coming from the front of the car just like in a home speaker system. Plus this will cut down on cost and potential issues. Plan is to replace front speakers...

First Day Thoughts: #1 -- You Don't Need the P85. The 85 is more than Plenty.

As to the sound system performance, I tested the "upgraded" sound system at one of the Tesla stores and found it severely lacking. Although, I admit that I am an audiophile and expect a high level of sound performance. So, I didn't do the upgrade and am putting that money towards an...

My new wheel/tire setup, and tint.

Looks tight - great job and very distinct look. Now all you have to do is add headers and exhaust...oh wait, it's electric

    P85 Badging?

So non-performance 85 owners would just have a badge with "85"? Seems weird - I'd take it off.

    artsci's Model S modifications

I agree with Zextra - frunk doesn't seem like it would work for sub placement due to the firewall. Rear footwell area should make a great place and there should be enough space to place the amp/cap in there as well. Wondering if anyone has done this yet?

Negative Camber in the Rear and Expensive Tires

So, from what I'm hearing, the Model S comes with some significantly negative rear camber and there are no adjustments on the car that can correct for this?

    Model S Exterior: Paint Armor

That's probably because most people do not know what paint armor is and do not understand or appreciate it's benefits. Years down the road, your car will still have a great front-end rather than a sand blasted look.

Future 60kWh and 40kWh owners, how long have you waited?

Dave5609 - I'm not far behind you with a reservation placed 5/2009. My configuration is 40kwh as well, and I was just told April/May timeframe, so March sounds like it may be a little aggressive. But let's hope not!

    Debadging

I'm surprised people can't figure out the kind of car when it still says T E S L A across the back chrome piece??
  36. B

    artsci's Model S modifications

I highly doubt you will find 21" wheels + tires for $3500 that are better than the ones Tesla offers. I have looked and there are few alternatives, as 21" is not a standard size.

    Active Air vs. Standard Suspension

Has anyone received a Model S with the standard suspension yet? If so, could you offer any comparisons versus the active air suspension? Looking for comparison details such as ride quality, cornering ability, ride height, etc. Overall, I'm wondering if the $1,500 extra for the active air...

Car Care: Controlled experiment - test gloss and durability of the top paint finishes

How about Griot's Garage Paint Sealant? I'm an avid user of their polish and wax products but have never tried the sealant - - would be interested how this stacks up in the test.

Trunk Well Dimensions (for subwoofer install)

I was thinking about using the footwell as a subwoofer placement as well - would be out of the way and you could put a guard on the top of the sub to protect it. Perhaps amp placement could be in the frunk but would need to investigate. Also planning on installing new front speakers and...
