It’s wild to me how many new SuC locations are opening. If only I still had unlimited supercharging…. Those were the days.

We take anything we can get… they’ve really opened a good many superchargers in South Carolina in the last year or so. Any progress is good progress. More will come!

Today is the first day that all 12 are showing on the map so I am guessing the issue must be resolved.

I see where I messed up above. I said it wouldn’t charge car and I meant “wouldn’t charge card” lol that one D can make a world of difference.

I guess I wasn’t clear - all 12 chargers work. 3A, 3B, 3C, and 3D are apparently operating as free chargers right now. Tesla maybe delayed at processing the charges on these till they are reporting again, not sure. Tesla monitors all sites and will send technicians to fix things when needed. I’m...

This charger is doing odd things. All the chargers in the #3 bank (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) do not seem to report when you’re charged and mentions fees but doesn’t seem to actually charge my car or report in app. I have charged at these the last couple days and my app does not indicate any charging...

For some reason this seems far fetched. Sounds like they reset the update process on your car so that you get the latest update in a week or so. Let us know if you actually get the beta out of that…

Sounds like you got it covered. Do you have your update thing in car set to “advanced” ?

Make sure you’re connected to wifi… I almost forgot to connect mine. Or can updates download over cellular now?

I picked my car up on 9/17/21. The software was 202.11.102. I received 2021.32.22 Saturday seemingly with everyone. I’m guessing vision cars are back on track with all the cars now.

By the way what I meant by map was this: supercharge.info Didn’t want anyone to think I’m crazy to think that someone on here would update the Tesla map 😂

Went by today just to try it out… still not ready. Any day now… If I had to guess this week. There’s zero work left. Everything looks final besides taking the cover off the boxes.

The Chargers are lit up. Tried to charge but sitting at “starting to charge” should be any day they’re “activated.” Cabinets remain covered.

That’s funny - I probably just have never noticed. Now that we have one coming to the home town I’m paying extra close attention 👀

I really wonder why they have the cabinets covered in the “Tesla Energy” packaging. I don’t think I’ve noticed this at other new sites as they were getting prepared. I think we all know what’s under the wrapper lol

Today 9/2/21

I placed an order for a long range Model Y on 8/6. Delivery sometime in November. Heard that performance models were expedited… I didn’t believe it. I changed my order to a performance Sunday (8/29/21) and I already have a VIN assigned as of 8/31/21. Delivery date still shows in September...

This is exciting. Anything that can take any load off another supercharger is helpful. I am sure I-26 will get one in a few months… they seem to be showing up more and more places. They’ve opened several in South Carolina this year!

So has anyone else noticed this location becoming increasingly busier? I just wonder when they will open another location in Columbia to offset some of the demand... Also if this location were to go down... many would be screwed

Honestly I don’t think columbiana was even on the radar. I think someone thought they were submitting a suggestion of where one should be and accidentally added a location that was since quickly removed because there’s not a location. If it took as long as it did to get a charger in Charleston...

I would agree but a company makes an adapter to allow a Tesla destination charger to work with other J1772, similar to how we have adapters. Ultimately, by removing the Destination chargers it’ll appear as if the car can’t make it to the place in the cold weather because often you’d have to...

Yeah there use to be Tesla Destination Chargers there. Looks like they are really gone but glad there are other options.

I agree. They claim that they auto report back but ehhh I don’t know if I believe all that. I hate this brand new location is already having issues. Hopefully they get them fixed!

Awesome! This location didn’t have much else around. There’s all the little shops but they were stuff I’d never go to. Glad they reopened! Hopefully they stay open!

Your statement is what makes me happy businesses are open and busy. It’s terrible for a company to have to lay off staff. Wear the mask and carry on. I wish your company the best. I do agree way off topic. This wasn’t politically motivated and shouldn’t be taken that way.

Supercharger - Hilton Head Island, SC

That’s nice of them. When I went I was able to use the restroom in “lobby”. It was around July.

I’m beyond happy to see more Supercharger locations opening in South Carolina. This will push Tesla forward in SC. Prior to Charleston and Hilton Head, the coast was almost off limits (without using destination/slow chargers). I’m glad Tesla finally got their act together and opened the SC coast...

I think it’s funny that the signs they have there are not the normal red so they did do some adjusting.

What’s interesting is it works by flipping phone in airplane mode and back...

Yeah I’ve noticed this as well over the last week or two... That’s interesting that it works fine on the pixel. When the issue was resolved last no iOS update occurred.

That would be great. I know I was at this location not to long ago and the store still had lights as well as shopping carts. Essentially the store looked untouched from when it closed.

Same. I live near Columbia and almost want to make a trip just to see it with my own eyes. It’s still hard to believe it finally happen.
