I know there are a few posts about rattles inside the door panel but in my car the rattle is inside the door itself. I can hear the rattle when I hit on it near the door latch with the panel removed. I have no idea how to get to it without messing around with the glass assembly. Does anyone try...
Will the Tesla emergency braking prevent the car from running into the wall if I accidentally press the accelerator while in drive. My friend Lexus doesn't even move when his wife did exactly this. She hit the gas pedal and the car was in drive instead of reverse. I just don't want to test it...
I've been getting this message after I download 2019.40.21. It appears for about minute or less then disappears. It happens on a sunny day as well as late at night. It recommends that I clean the camera which I did but see nothing blocking the view.
I feel the frustration of the people who still don't have a VIN assigned. I ordered my SR+ W/B on 10/9 and was getting really frustrated until this morning when the VIN appeared in my source. Now I am waiting for the text to set the delivery date. I hope to have it tomorrow. Good luck to all.
Finally. Got my VIN 597386. Also, they expect me to pay the remaining balance before delivery. I though I can just write them a check when I pick it up.
I believed them when I ordered mine 10/9 with 2 weeks delivery windows. More than six weeks later and still no car. Now I only believe when they can show me.
It goes to show that Tesla is doing thing in a mysterious way. I ordered my on 10/9 and I still don't have a VIN yet. Also, since the mass "Expected delivery date text" went out 2 days ago my SA and delivery center people went "radio silence". How weird.
Any update from the people who got the text yesterday? I sent an inquiry about this text to the delivery specialist but got no response. My SA also gone dark. Still no VIN.
I ordered my on 10/9 and get the same exact date range as luckyenough. But we both got the SR+ White/Black and no FSD. It seems to me that this batch of emails is for this trim. Tomorrow I am sure a bunch of people with different trim will be getting the same emails.
Got the same text also:
'Update on your delivery timing: We expect your Model 3 to exit the factory and arrive at your delivery center between 11/24 and 12/2. Please look out for further communication when it is time to schedule your delivery appointment.'
Tesla can't even control their own delivery. They change it every week. Sometime the same SA will give you different estimates depending the time of the day.
They said 1-2 weeks when I ordered mine on 10/9. So I am on the 5th week now and still got nothing from Tesla. Now I only believe it when I see the car in my garage.
My order was on 10/9 so mine is close to delivery anyway. The edit button was there until yesterday so something had changed in the account status unless there is a bug in the software. I am a software developer so I know a thing or two on how this works. The ability to change your configuration...
Not sure but mine has also disappeared today. I found a few posts back about this back in 2018. My guess is that your car is in production and you should get a VIN assigned soon.
I sincerely hope your SA is right. I ordered my SR+ W/B 18in wheel on 10/9 in Mission Viejo, CA. I will text my SA and ask to see if my SA is as confident as yours.
All I can hope is the car will be more reliable and trust worthy than the company that make them. First they said 2-3 weeks then 4-6 weeks then 6-8 weeks.
I went to the same so called orientation seminar about a week or so ago. It was a waste of time if you spent enough time on this forums or watching YouTube about the model 3. They are just keeping themselves busy while waiting for the delivery just like us. No one really knows when.
My son ordered a black a me a white a few days later. We an each send email to the Costa Mesa delivery inquiring about when. The same delivery specialist gave us different estimate delivery dates. Go figure. I don't think they know any more than we do. It's anyone guess.
