He has a 2015, the wiring is already there. He just needs the steering wheel, heater ecu (spring with wiring for heater ecu) and column.

It would swell the leather like this if it was in that spot for a long period of time, yes.

If I were to guess, it looks like a moisture ring. I’d say someone sat there with wet shorts. Maybe a damp towel or something of that nature.

has anyone created a way to install the ap2 side markers with a camera and figured out how to integrate them into an aftermarket sentry system? Something like tie it into a dvr of some sort with a front and rear camera similar to blackvue?

I test drove this car... trust me, it’s not the same as the OP’s. The quoted Tesla was wrecked, the wrap job is terrible and there’s maintenance that absolutely needs to be addressed.
