The truck is locked inside a gated space far away from any outlet. Even if it was closer, I'm sure the owner of the facility wouldn't have allowed me in to the car..not to forget, the car is on the top tier..access would be even tough..

Yes, I did. They were ok for me to come and take a look, but nothing more than that. But, after reading the court order, I felt it would be best not to meddle with anything on or near the truck, and further delay the process.

quick update: I have received the Court order from Montway, which confirms that there in fact was a court order not to move the truck from the holding facility (the body shop) Also, I went further and registered at the 'Harris County District Clerk' (the court order had this detail), and...

I will call the body shop and let them know that I am planning to travel in the next few days and make sure they do not have any problems(due to court order) showing me the truck and car...or even get in to the car...that way..my trip will not be in vain

No, the pictures that you see are of the car when it was being loaded during pick up in NY. The car is still ON the truck at the body shop.

Yes, I have added the car to my tesla app..but, I do have the key card with me..so I can open the car, trunk frunk once I get consent from the body shop owner to do so tomorrow.

I agree..has to be the saddest longest delivery experience...I might travel to the body shop tomorrow, if I do, I will ask the owner of the body shop if he can run an extension cable to the truck to charge the car...will see how it goes...will post updates here...

Yes, they probably only have liability insurance which would cover any damages (if any) to the car. Anyway, I do not want to deal with them after the delivery of the car for loss of use. I have lost enough peace of mind dealing with them already.

They do..atleast, that's what they said...it's the court order preventing them to move the truck and trailer and the cars on it , out of the body shop...again, that's what they say anyways
