FWIW, I emailed the town of Quartzite about the new superchargers. I got a response today (4/15/20): "There have been permits issued but the work has not started as of yet"

I found a building permit BLD-2019-01656 on the mohave county website Mohave County. I included a screenshot in case the link doesnt get you anywhere. Curiously, it seems the permit expired in January.

Good point. It's my understanding that gas station/convenience stores don't make much money on the gas, they make their money selling "smokes and drinks and snacks and such". So a Tesla SC would be like getting extra pumps and more customers for no additional cost.

FWIW, the Mach-E comes with a two year complimentary subscription to Fordpass, so charging will be free for two years. After that time, I do not know. Fordpass does use the EA network but they must have an agreement in place with EA. mach-e-faq
