They weren't painted. They are the OEM sonic carbon color and were take-offs of a 2019 Model X. I had the factory Model X tires swapped out for the smaller Hankooks.

I had to remove it completely and tear off the tape before I could adjust mine. Oh and be care of the little tabs. You can see that I broke one in the first picture. I didn't have a torx bit that size so I just used a hex key.

I had to re-adjust mine on my 2017 S. They’re attached with a bolt and double sided tape. The tape is why it didn’t rotate easily. You can take out the center piece and it will expose the bolt head beneath it.

That's what I did. I just wanted the purchase process to go as smooth as possible so I went with Tesla financing. I refinanced with a local credit union for a lower rate almost immediately after getting my loan paperwork (which ended up being through Wells Fargo).

Mine were a set of take-offs that bought from a wheel shop on eBay.

I just did the same and I love them. 20" sonic carbon MX wheels with 275/35/20 and 245/40/20 Hankook S1 Noble 2 tires. I've got about 1000 miles on them and I haven't noticed any significant reduction in range or ride quality.

What part Nova are you in? I’m right in between DC and Baltimore.
