Actually you appear to have gotten lucky with your SA. I ordered 10/7 and am now at 8 weeks even though my account page still says 2 weeks (so I guess I've been told 10/21 all along). My SA has consistently varied between unhelpful and nonresponsive. The more I read here the whole SA thing...

My config is LR AWD MSM/black/19/AP; it's pretty clear that geography matters but I'm beginning to believe that exterior color matters just as much if not more. It appears to be a batch processing operation and a "bad" choice can really slow things down.

I agree in principle but remember you live close to a service facility some of us live hundreds of miles from the nearest one and so getting major fixes requires a lot of planning and expense.

The CO taxes are only applicable when you title the vehicle.

The last car I bought was shipped from CT and when I asked about taxes I was told that you only pay tax in the state where you register the vehicle. The one exception I have found is CA where there is a sales tax rather than a motor vehicle tax. I don't get hoe Tesla gets around this.
