I’d be curious to find out after install if this *delay* is the team busy at other installs in the state currently, or if it’s a magic dock installation and the right stalls just haven’t arrived yet.

As an SR+ owner, I’d be sweating it. Or those who own an older S with a 60 or 40kw pack might not even consider it.

I really think Tesla under utilizes those urban 72 chargers. They really do hit the spot for those rural areas that people tend to want to spend more time in. I'm thinking of Ely or Grand Marais where that is the destination, not the thru-fare. I'd imagine those are cheaper to set up too.

I’m assuming it’s a replacement of V2’s for V3 or an entirely new station. They probably have enough charging session data to know its always a packed station.

I would be curious about Dinosaur. CO Energy Department already placed their Chargepoint DCFC station there, to give people access to that national park. Montrose, and now Craig have been built with those DCFC partnerships. It would make sense to join up at Dinosaur. But I can definitely see...

After power was turned on Friday, we had an impromptu gathering of the Western Colorado Tesla club at the station. We'll be hoping to have a more formal "opening" in January with the club. I'll also be checking out Craig this week to see if there is any movement that direction with chargers.

At the very least, 2 or so of those urban chargers that are at the 72kw rate. Anything to be helpful during those cold winter nights with the elevation gains.

It seems the Colorado crews are getting pretty comfortable in what to do. Seems these V3’s are going faster and faster as long as paperwork and permits don’t slow things down.

No change as of Monday, April 13. I arrived in Heyburn with 22% and plugged in at the Fairview tesla charger to get a small bump to make it to Twin Falls. Trip computer was saying 3% arrival and that was too close for comfort with the high west wind.

I don’t have a photo for this, but the highest charge rate I received was 130kw in Idaho Springs. I was able to pull 141kw from a V2 in Limon. I’m wondering if it was a mix of cold and no preconditioning that I wasn’t able to pull a higher rate of charge. The station still isn’t on the system...

For me it's the distance to Brush. It's nice that Brighton will be getting one too. West Slope to Nebraska was a stretch for us on a Christmas visit to family in Omaha.
