    Lifetime Wh/mi

Since you are in SoCal, I am sure you are familiar with the 105. My commute it effectively from one end to the other and back. I blend in with traffic in the carpool lane. In the morning traffic moves about 70 mph at 4:45 a.m. In the afternoon traffic moves at 35-40 at 2:45 p.m. No AC in...

Vendor Official Signature Wheel Gallery | Fitment Q&A Thread

I have not checked this week. So I don't have the latest numbers. When I checked over the weekend, I had ~1400 miles and averaged 219.2 Wh/mi with the new set up. It is a tiny improvement-definitely too small to justify the change by itself. As I stated, I went with the 18 inch set up to...

What gain in Range will I get by shaving 6-7 pounds off the 20'' OEM

The gains will be very minimal as others have suggested. Below is a link to another post which details my data. Performance not getting 310 miles promised

Performance not getting 310 miles promised

Driving habits (acceleration, braking and speed) and hills largely determine efficiency. Driving habits are controllable while hills are not. Based upon informal testing among my Tesla Model 3 friends, we have found the more aggressive drivers get lower efficiency and less aggressive drivers...

Performance not getting 310 miles promised

After having lived with a very early first generation Nissan LEAF (serial number 202) with severe battery degradation, I think I have learned energy management in driving EVs with miminal use of brakes by anticipating stops (let regen system do its work), gradual controlled acceleration and no...

Performance not getting 310 miles promised

Here is my data: I have a Model 3 Performance with Performance Upgrade (ie. 20-inch wheels) and my driving is largely dictated by commuting in Los Angeles area freeway traffic (65-70 mph @ 5 a.m. and 35-40 @ 3 p.m.). Disclaimer: I don't drive aggressively during my commute since it is not...

Vendor Official Signature Wheel Gallery | Fitment Q&A Thread

I currently have the factory setup for a Model 3 Performance with Performance Upgrade (20 inch wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires 235/35R20). I'm at 236 Wh/mi lifetime (~11,000 miles) with this set up. Screen shots of my display and driving conditions are available on the thread about not...

Performance not getting 310 miles promised

Efficiency has gone up from 246 Wh/mi to 236 Wh/mi on my P3 as miles have accumulated. Driving conditions are identical to post #401 on this thread as the P3 is a commuter car with repeatable conditions for each trip. Will only have about 10K miles by end of year 1 since I rideshare with...

Performance not getting 310 miles promised

Another data point. For my Model 3 Performance with 20 inch wheels (no modifications--as delivered by Tesla) , I have averaged 246 Wh/mi (or equivalently 305 mile range) over the life of the car (~3900 mi). Driving consists of typical Los Angeles area commute from Orange County to LAX...

    Wet Okole Seat Covers

Yes, the Costa Mesa installed both front and rear. - - - Updated - - - Garygid, I am not available this Saturday. If you would like I could post some pictures. It should be noted that our covers have quite a bit of wear due to daily use with wet kids from the swim team.

    Wet Okole Seat Covers

We have Wet Okele seat covers both front and back. In fact, Wet Okele's pattern was developed using our car, the red one in their gallery. We have been very happy with them so far. There was a question where the side impact air bags were (in the pillar or in the seat) so Wet Okele made hidden...

Xpel installer in San Diego or Orange County?

I went with Protective Film Solutions in Costa Mesa (Orange County) for my Model S. When I had the full wrap done about a year ago, they had already done more than 40. So lots of experience with the Model S. It took three days for a complete wrap.

My Reus sound system install: Photos and comments

I am assuming you are referring to the Reus System components. When I inquired about the component manufacturers, Reus noted all of their components were custom made by various companies in the far east to their specs. My guess is they buy from the small firms who actually assemble the...

My audio upgrade for "Watt ME" - Reus Audio

If you do visit them, have them arrange one of their Model S installs there when you show up. He seems to have a friend who has a Model S with the system installed who is willing to drive over to let you do a side by side comparison of the factory system to the upgraded system. You will need...

My audio upgrade for "Watt ME" - Reus Audio

I arrived at 9 a.m. and left a few minutes before 1 p.m. So about four hours. This includes the 30-45 minutes we spent driving around adjusting the system to perform properly with the wind and tire noise.

My audio upgrade for "Watt ME" - Reus Audio

I had a Reus system installed in my Model S on Aug 23 at their Orange, CA facility. They are located in an industrial strip in an older part of Orange. Their facility is just some office space in the front with a large workshop/installation area in back. It is certainly not a retail...

My Reus sound system install: Photos and comments

Just had Reus system installed at their Orange, CA facility. Sound has improved significantly over Studio System. The imaging is much better. The bass and midrange also showed improvement but not as much as the imaging. Overall, the sound is quite good even though it does not rival my high...

Car wrapping and tint for new Model S

My reply did not work. So here is my second attempt. I had all windows (including windshield and pano roof) tinted to minimize the UV. I have CR90 on the windshield, CR70 on the pano roof, driver's window, and passenger's window, CR40 on everything else in back. All tinting is within legal...

    Model S Seat Covers

Update: Took car back to Wet Okele today. They removed the seat covers, modified them to accommodate in-seat air bags and reinstalled them. It took about an hour altogether. They said they would try to contact Model S owners who have their covers without the slits.

    Model S Seat Covers

Thanks for the heads up. Will call Wet Okele to have my covers modified.

Car wrapping and tint for new Model S

I had mine completely wrapped with Xpel Ultimate and windows tinted with 3M Crystalline by Protective Film Solutions (www.protectivefilmsolutions.com) in Santa Ana, CA. According to Ryan, the owner, I was the 37th Model S they had wrapped (either partial or complete). I have been very happy...

    Model S Seat Covers

I just spoke with the Tesla Service Center in Costa Mesa, CA; and they stated the side impact air bags are in the A and C pillars. There are no air bags in the seats. I am one of the three which Wet Okele has installed seat covers. I have been very happy with them so far. They are great for...
