Unfortunately there's a LOT more to getting FSD feature complete than stop signs and stop lights. For one, merging is horrendous right now. Stop lights on highways IMO are going to be another problem as the camera can only see so far and if your driving 65 mph that light comes up fast...

Completely agree! I had been thinking this exact same thing for a few weeks now — how I wish they would separate out the FSD package options. 7k is a lot to dump out for it .. especially after the sale of the car when it’s not in you payments.

the estimated mileage change is because they adjusted the estimated range based on the tire size so I highly doubt they will fix this in an update as it should be more accurate now. You can see this by going into the settings and changing your tire size temporarily — your range will immediately...

Ive read through most of the manual but for whatever reason this section didn’t stick out to me so I appreciate the post of this section and it did resolve this odd issue. I was focused on there being a setting somewhere which is also why I posted.

man average of 420wh/mi at 75mph still seems extremely high to me. My average Wh/mi over the last 140 miles between 50 and 55 degree F is 248. <shrug>

this seems to support what I’m seeing in my P3D- as after the update I’m seeing 282 mile estimated range at 90% charge.

M3P isn’t rated at 320 it’s rated at 310. 10 degree C you’ll also take a bit of a hit on range due to colder weather. Are you also running with the cabin heater and/or seat heaters on? 420wh/mile sounds high to me - but I’m a P3D- so I don’t have to deal with the 20in tires.

Also keep in mind that the 40.1+ code enabled warning messages on the sensors saying they are blocked. This is something new and they typically clear themselves once the blocking issue is resolved (typically for me, it's when a truck is passing me on the right or left side).

Have you called Tesla Service - or opened a service request in the app? They have the ability to force an update down to a car. If it was mine that was doing this, I would have opened a chat session with service the next day!

It's been stated by a number of people - not all performance models have seen this drop in miles.. mine actually went up a couple of miles. I highly doubt some random models lost access to 5% of the battery. I still have a suspicion this update factors in driving habits to a small degree...

Agreed. Also keep in mind.... having to actually use the brakes for a short while isn't going to "wear them out" just because the car is heavy. The 90% of your driving with regen braking will well make up for it.
