What!!! I'm so sorry that happened - how discouraging. If I'm not mistaken, Tesla will transfer an inventory vehicle up to 250 miles before charging a fee, so check out what they have available in inventory within that range. Really hope you find something!

Call the store that you're picking up from and ask them. Only the people at your delivery location have access to the cars actual location while in transit (or at least that's what they told me).

Yes I’ve been told the same. I’ve also been told 20” wheels are not the best idea, so I’m most likely gonna get 18” wheels+ winter tires. Here’s a great resource for some compatible wheels: List of 18" wheels for P3D+ I’m probably gonna get the 18” T sportlines with winter tires

Are you able to schedule a delivery appointment by going to tesla.com/schedule/RNxxxxxxx and replacing RNxxxxxxx with your reservation number? My delivery estimate disappeared briefly when I was able to schedule an appointment, although I did also receive a text to schedule.

Haha I would honestly consider this if I didn't have a (later than I'd hoped) delivery appt scheduled already

Replacing a Ford Explorer. For the past 10 years I never really cared what I drove. I would just lease any inexpensive Ford they had on the lot cause I got the employee discount through family. This Model 3 has got me excited in ways few products ever have, especially cars.

Yea I've heard of that happening to other people. They'll always call you a day or two before the delivery date to confirm it though, from what I've heard. Sometimes this works in your favor as they'll change the delivery date to an earlier one without even telling you. I'm currently hoping...

Keep us updated on what you hear! I'm midwest and my delivery date is the 27th (earliest available for me), which is strangely much later than everyone else I've seen post lately that's nearby. I called today and the only info I was given was that the car was estimated to arrive on the 23rd.

Just called Tesla Cleveland to see if I could get any additional info since I got my VIN last night. They said the car is expected to arrive 12/22 and be ready for delivery on 12/23. Without providing a guarantee, they said they have been seeing delivery timelines getting shortened recently...
