attack7, did you ever figure anything out with a re-appraisal or appeal? I got my model 3 standard in December of 2019 and my combined vehicle tax and registration which I just received has an appraised value ~10k more than what I paid new for the car. Hopefully should be easy to appeal...

Man this whole process has been an emotional roller coaster. After talking again with the sales center they suggested I keep looking for inventory and if I saw one I wanted pop up, give them a call and they'd match me with it. Otherwise I'd just have to wait until the factory made the model...

Has anyone here ever spoke with a representative at corporate or any central support location? It seems the only route for communication is the local sales office. All my calls get routed to my local office.

I'd agree. No way I'm going to pay 4k$. They should be able just to throw it on the next delivery truck coming my way...sounds easy but i'm sure its not that easy. I really hope they make it right! The store manager said that I shouldn't have been matched with that VIN in the first place...

Just went to look at existing inventory and this kind little note appeared.... So I'd assume that I was matched by Tesla automatically and then the local delivery center caught the mistake.

Ya I was hoping there was something wrong here but just got off the phone with the store manager and they told me corporate has put out a directive that cars over 250 miles away from delivery point can't be re-transported for free. Said there was some "glitch" in the system and wasn't sure why...

Well interesting development for me here in NC..... Ordered 12/3 Got text to schedule delivery on 12/8 and scheduled for first available on 12/16 8AM. Never had VIN show in source code but had the MVPA with VIN same day as I received the text to schedule appointment. So nothing to worry about...

Good summary. I'd agree they're doing their best to meet their metrics and this unfortunately means they do what's best for them to get as many cars our as possible. My order will be another data point. Really not seeing that many east coast orders.
