Wiki Selling TSLA Options - Be the House

Thanks that makes a lot sense! Is the Jan 24 a yearly option? Then Sep and Dec are quarterly?

But Jan 24 is available now. So Sep 23 and Dec 23 are not released yet, but Jan 24 is available already. Do other people see the same?

Thanks for asking. Did it fill in a single block? - It was filled in a single block with a limit price (mid price). I did some experiments before and found that 1. Clearly market maker can handle this size easily. I think it is more on the dollar amount rather than the number of contacts...

It might be helpful to look for a strike with large Open Interest. So your chance to get chosen is (your number of contracts / total open interest). E.g., if you sold 1 contract with 9 open interest, when someone exercises the option, your chance to be chosen is 1/10. 10 is from the 9 existing...

Thanks for asking! I was't sure if those details are helpful. For May 7 '21 $620 Put, I start with the strike first: I basically did spot stock price $690 - $70 (roughly the 30 day IV). I use 30 day IV to get 68% of winning chance. (1 standard deviation) Then I choose a date from 30 days to...

    1. I believe for neural nets, the net structure and the net parameters are usually stored in a DB rather than represented in the code. The neural nets they use can be huge and that data is in DB not in the code. 2. Also Elon might be talking about the code running in the car, which should be...

I see so many options expiring next week (Jan15 2021), significantly larger than any other date, and a lot of them are ditm. based on the link below it may take out 1/5 of the delta hedge needed just in that week. Could it cause pressure on the stock? https://tsla-oi.s3.amazonaws.com/index.html

Thanks for sharing! While using the LEAP strategy, did you have any bad experiences? Any risk and mitigations? Interestingly my leverage is about 1.5x too. But to achieve the same leverage, we can do 2 methods: 1. 100% not too deep ITM leap 2. 50% shares + 50% ATM leaps Any reason you chose...

Need some advice (thoughts). I am at 60% shares and 40% leap, the leap is Jun 22 $600 call, more like ATM. My intuitive thought is to adjust to 60% shares 30% Jun22 $600 call (18 month out) add 10% Jun21 $600 call (6 month out). This is to slightly increase the leverage by adding Jun21...

I trust your model and I think your model covers both the passive fund and active funds. So one possibility is passive funds can bring us to $600 and active funds will take us to $800. It just takes time for active funds to make a plan to enter after Tesla is part of the index officially. I...
