CarMax sold me a broken model 3?

I think I fall on the side of caution here. While the power is with you on the new purchase it might be a good idea to throw it back at CarMax and find a better example. What this does highlight is peoples rights to see logs on battery usage history and condition history. This allows users to...

Smelly stinky socks / mold in Model 3 AC

If there is proof of one single SC doing it then they all should do it. Otherwise you are not treating customers fairly. Common issue? https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=tesla+ac+bad+smell

Smelly stinky socks / mold in Model 3 AC

When you have a common fault which is effecting a wide range of users while it is being fixed it should be done so and remedied under warranty or goodwill. But it seems to me it is still happening to new cars to this day. I have owned a few cars and more than one EV the model 3 was the first to...

Smelly stinky socks / mold in Model 3 AC

Stand your ground people with the service centres. You should not be having to outlay for a problem that has been happening since the 3 was produced. I also had the bad smell within a couple of weeks of purchase on a late 2019 model 3. A software update was released to mitigate it by simply pre...

6’6” tall. Is the M3 for me?

I am 6'4 and I would say not quite enough to be totally comfortable on long drives with extending the legs. Need to add on the large feet.... The Y however seems a better choice. But I am not yet convinced of obvious quality issues until I sit in one out of the Berlin factory.

Picked up my Tesla in early December, worst car I've ever owned.

Yes agree when you have a car that is aware of its position and in relation to charging points and even their status, the EV journey is second to none and the breaks are warranted. But I still marvel when I get into my partners car and she fills up and pays within 2 minuets and continues...

Picked up my Tesla in early December, worst car I've ever owned.

Have you seen the price of electricity lately? Poor challenge. But yes EV;s future is now set in stone if we can only mine its materials green for the packs. But being an early adopter 10+ years after they have been on the roads does not hold water anymore. Simple as other EV manufacturers use...

Shopping for a new Electric car. Former Eniro / Model 3 owner.

I am on the Tesla website now looking at a model Y long range. Up front I did not have a very good model 3 experience with a car full of production / failure issues. I did however like the style and charging infrastructure. But now that I have a second chance to buy and at 6 foot 4 I was on the...

Picked up my Tesla in early December, worst car I've ever owned.

Wow these recommended threads today are depressing. I just come back to research a model Y's quality status and bam..... So for the people who do not see through the trees of current EV cars. The miles on Tesla's website stated are totally optimum. Realistically as a user you need to air con on...

Makes me sad to hear many reviews of the New S complain about build quality!

I wonder how much extra component waste and extra c02 is produced by fixing all these issues if you add it onto each car.

    Vehicle to Load coming?

Thanks for the replies! Yes the most I read was along the lines of the electronics were there but not active so that is interesting. Vehicle to Load coming?

Competitors offer this feature already and as I am looking for an EV right now as things open up the thought of going camping and powering it with the car appeals to me. I wondered if there are any hints of this with the 3?

UGH - The smell of it. [AC Smell]

Seems to me this is common fault territory. It should be fixed for free as just using this forum as evidence should suffice. My 2019 AC was smelly from day one. It went away after a few mins and there was a software update to apparently mitigate it but on getting in the car after not using it...

Yes I see your point and the solve would be to make 3rd party parts and fix guides like this. The full tilt would be if every replaceable component was microchipped and the car would not run after any 3rd party repair…. A qualified car mechanics work is more than likely up to standard or better...

Rich Rebuilds Electrified Garage repairs Model 3 at $15K+ discount

I get your point here but I have a couple of things here to fork. First from the bottom, Tesla should never have the right to pressure you into shutting up by taking away fair supercharger access and a fairly earned roadster from sales. All because you attempt to repair a car otherwise for an...

I am a little shocked at how childish Tesla have been. I have now watched the other video and didn't realise Tesla would treat a customer this way. Is it true that Tesla withdrew Rich’s free Roadster when he must have sold a lot of Tesla’s through his code? I find that rather childish. I really do not think putting together second hand cars and trying to get parts is any reason to deny someone a well earned prize.

Recent fire another reason all controls on screen are a bad idea!

What about a cell that instantly dries out when exposed to air from a puncture or rapid expansion of fire retardant foam on puncture per cell? Recent fire another reason all controls on screen are a bad idea!

Well that is for the designers and why are we not exceeding legacy cars safety in terms of its energy store safety? The point is when a pack goes up it does so in a very uncontrollable and rapid way. Even if statistics are low while EV,s become mainstream adoption there should be a better answer...

Totally and why it took over 2 hours to put out. But when you see so much detail going into how safe these cars are the vital safety with thermal runaway has not been addressed 10 years on. Ok so we know electric cars can randomly catch fire if not produced properly or manufacturing defect. So why the hell does the car not have a built in fire supression system? They could hardly put it out and the driver almost couldn't get out. If these facts ring true then a fire supression...

Traveling by Supercharger can be more expensive than ICE

Also the MPG fluctuates quite a bit from summer to winter. What about if the car company is making its investments in bitcoin? You need to add the CO2 footprint of this into the mix as it is quite a chunk. Quite some bolt on that would be until it is Co2 neautral. But if electricity in your...

Traveling by Supercharger can be more expensive than ICE

EV,s produce more CO2 in production, cost more in the first place even when subsidised and produce more tyre particulates so payment that is fair on both sides until ICE is fazed out. The roads need fixing so some sort of tax will be needed. Here in the UK even with £3000 off any EV it makes it...

Traveling by Supercharger can be more expensive than ICE

Most EV's coming out onto the market right now are 10k more than their ICE compatriots. So that means if you buy a non Tesla Ev you have to pay about 80,000 miles of fuel up front. So this all comes down to how much is the model 3 worth to you for what it does. When you compare it as just a...

Of course there is the knock on effect. So the question is how much CO2 does bitcoin produce and how long will it take to produce it green? I am in conflict with this also. I am an investor and one of the first things I thought of is how bitcoin wipes out all the current and possibly future CO2 savings of the Tesla fleet.
