Hey guys. Late to the party. Just installed the frunk from hansshow and the strut motor starts pushing up the lid before the secondary latch releases, resulting in failure to open or bending the lid before it lets go. Wondering if anyone has experience with this. Thabks

Got mine installed. The hansshow control makes the car think the frunk is closed after it’s opened. It probably close the sensor micro switch for a second to make it thinks the frunk lid is down to reset it to the closed status. Btw, I have a problem where the strut motor starts pushing up...

You are right, that resolved my first problem. second problem is that the strut starts pushing the lid up before the secondary latch disenaged. Anyone has similar problem ?

I had been looking through hope it works. Loud like with the latest latch motor, you need to pull that cable. Then use the 9v battery to release the truck. If that doesn’t work you may need to pull and hold it while doing the 9v battery trick.

Odd. Mine turns grey after it’s opened. Maybe the hanshow controller would make it “not grey”. I haven’t installed yet but I guess I’ll find out next week.

Thanks. I just realized the latch motor I got is totally different from yours. There’s an emergency release coming out of the motor but I don’t know if it’s reliable. Like you said. If the motor pulled the latch shut and doesnt release, the frunk lid would be stuck there.

Just wondering. After you opened up the latch motor, did you find out how the emergency release work? Does it pull on a the drive gear and decouple the drive gear from the slave gear?

I reported 460km range(estimated when I put the charging bar to 100%). After reading up news and with inputs from the guys from here around last Christmas, I charge the car to 60% instead of 80%. The max range had been increased to 481. It’s still slowly creeping up.

This graph is exactly what I’m looking for. Looks like there’sa step at 55%. Do you have similar graph extended to higher mileage/life time?

I usually charge it to 80. It seemed to be the consensus back then that 80 is ideal. Changing it to 65 to 70 from now on.
