In the little bit I have read regarding the install it is definitely not a simple procedure. Apparently it requires complete removal of the front bumper. Which actually gives me pause but the desire for the feature outweighs that.

I had a 2016 C7, LOVED IT. However for similar reasons that you mention, I just canceled my C8 order and will be purchasing a Model 3 performance too.

I absolutely love the new roadster, however at a cost of 4 Model 3 Performance cars, I think I'll pass. On a serious note I really do wish Tesla offered a Model 3 coupe or something along the lines of a Z4 or Miata. Unlikely in today's SUV obsessed market, even having a Model 3 seda available...
