Removal of FSDb timeline - How long did it take you to get Tesla to remove it?

When did you create the service ticket? I tried this a few months ago and was told the only way was to email the [email protected] email address.

Any way to bail from “fsd beta” 2023.7.20 software branch and get current 2023.20.7?

I’m in the same situation. I even opened a ticket asking to get out and was told was the only way to get back onto the mainline software branch was to email those addresses. I’m hoping with v12 will merge the branches.

Have you looked into the cost of registering a vehicle in CO? 😭

Starbucks, Volvo and ChargePoint announce locations for EV chargers along route from Denver to Seattle

I wonder if they are going to put the chargers at the same starbucks as the existing superchargers and if that means the supercharger is going away since there are 5-6 spots that aren’t supercharger stalls in that lot.

Pressing button on mobile charger doesn’t open charge door

I had the same issue where the only way to open the charge port door was in car or via the app. mobile service came out and replaced it under warranty. He could hear it clicking when he pushed the button in the wall connector. Apparently this happens per the the mobile tech. Not a lot but he...

2 week old MY, Multiple Errors whilst driving - All assist functions disabled

Mine turned out to be an issue with the left front wheel speed sensor. The wire behind the wheel well liner had corroded and shorted out. No answer as to why one out of four wheels having an issue would disable everything and make the car basically undriveable.

    2022.8.2

Five or six times. SC looked at it yesterday and determined that it was corrosion on the wire for the left wheel speed sensor behind the wheel well liner. i couldn’t get details on whey everything would become unavailable when the other 3 speed sensors worked fine and only one had a fault. I...

Has non-Tesla charging at Superchargers officially started in the US?

I saw a Chevy Volt using that trick to park at the Mountain Village Supercharger on Wednesday when the garage was full.

    2022.8.2

Unless I‘m laughing so hard I’m crying. It’s at the SC now but they won’t get to look at it until Thursday.

    2022.8.2

It only snows when we wash our cars and it hasn't snowed in weeks :) In the last 3 years the car has only been hand washed.

    2022.8.2

Living in Colorado it's been dry so I can't see where water would have come from but I'll be sure to report back when this gets resolved.

2 week old MY, Multiple Errors whilst driving - All assist functions disabled

I noticed the shuddering about 5-10min before the errors popped up the first time I was on AP and approaching an overpass so I thought it was some new permutation of phantom braking. The second time I was driving the card and it just shuddered/lost power without me moving my foot on the...

    2022.8.2

I upgraded my 2018 LRDM Model 3 to 2022.8.2 Friday and didn’t drive yesterday. today while driving on the highway for 15min I got ABS, AEB, traction, stability, automatic vehicle hold, and cruise control disabled. Lane departure avoidance unavailable, steering assist reduced, limited...

2 week old MY, Multiple Errors whilst driving - All assist functions disabled

I got all of these errors on my 2018 model 3 this morning as I was driving down the highway. @X-Cile what software version are you on? I just got 2022.8.2 and while I’ve never had an issue with an update I’m wondering if it’s related.

Voice commands didn't work for a while ("not connected"). Why?

This limitation is especially annoying now that I have to dig through menus to enable or disable defroster. When your in a snowstorm and the windows are fogging taking your eyes off the road to find defrost is dangerous.

Everything wrong with V11 update / user interface.

There is now a homelink bar on the bottom left where the cards for energy and tire pressure used to be. It only appears when in range. This may be the only thing I like in v11 it’s a lot easier than the old way. Unfortunately most everything else is harder.

    FSD Beta Button....Now No Updates

    Colorado (Mostly) Specific Questions

I’m not positive on S and X but I’ve heard here the newer ones are FWD until needed. Look at which motor is permanent magnet versus induction. The 3 and the Y are definitely RWD until needed. By needed I mean of it detects slip or if you are acceperating hard enough it needs both motors for...

    Colorado (Mostly) Specific Questions

In my Model 3 LR I use roughly 2x energy getting to summit county from DU area as I do getting back. thats not exact but a good rule of thumb. On the way back if you can make it up the hill to the tunnel you’ll make it home. My wh/mi has remained negative from the tunnel to i25. I definitely...

Supercharger - Denver, CO - University Hills

I’d guess U hills supercharger is dead. It seems to me both U hills and the 1st and Quebec SC are odd choices for a SC. Both are far from a highway. Personally living in Denver with charging at home I want to see more chargers in southern, western and northern CO versus Denver metro but I know...

    Colorado Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

This will be so great when staying in the Vail Valley. I got the Chademo adapter just for when we stay a couple weeks in upnethere every January. After a couple grocery runs and vampire drain over two weeks we need to charge to get over vail pass to silverthorne To charge.

Supercharger - Denver, CO - University Hills

I’d agree with that. Looking at the concrete work they put in wheelchair ramps which based on that I don’t know there they would put the pedestals. I still think it’s a poor spot all the food other than KS is at the other end of the plaza and it’s a over a mile from i25.

Supercharger - Denver, CO - University Hills

I wouldn’t call this proof of construction since there is no equipment on site, but pulling out of King Soopers this morning I noticed there is concrete work being done in the area previously identified as the SC location. You can’t tell from the picture but the construction is only six spaces...

    Fully deflate lumbar?

That’s what they replaced for mine. I’m assuming they remove the plastic panel on the back to access the lumbar but it would be neat to watch that process.
  28. K

    Fully deflate lumbar?

Interesting. I wonder if the 3/Y seat is the same as the S/X seat. There must be a way to get the lumbar put without replacing the seat back. Or at least I don’t think they have replaced the seat back twice.
  29. K

    Fully deflate lumbar?

Tesla has had to replace mine twice due to it inflating and not deflating. i don’t know if mobile service can do it or not since both times the car had other issues that required going to the SC.

Sentry Mode battery usage 7% per day

@kishkaru I have noticed very similar behavior when my car is in an underground garage with little to no cell phone signal and sentry mode is enabled. We have a time share two weeks a year at a ski resort where the car is in an underground heated garage and the car loses 7-8% a day with sentry...

    Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3

I’m sure up in the canyons the R3s are great and when you get down into the city they are a little soft. CO is similar it just takes us 50miles versus less than 30 in SLC. If I live in the high country I wouldnt consider a performance snow but when half the drove to ski is above freezing and...

    Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3

Makes sense. I’ve heard of people running the R3 SUV in a model 3 but I never looked into that.
  33. K

    Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3

Personally I don't think I will do another set of Hakka’s on the Tesla just too soft for how heavy the car is especially when the temperature is above freezing which is a lot of the winter on the front range I had Dunlop Wintersport 3 on the A4 before the hakka r2 and I preferred the full snow...

    Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3

I came from a B7 A4 Avant to an ‘18 LR dual motor I had Hakka R2 on the Audi and now have R3 on the Tesla. I seriously miss the Quattro all wheel drive when in stop and go traffic or just generally starting from a stop on snowy roads. Having to wait for rear end to slip before the front motor...

    Supercharger - Silverthorne, CO

I agree that was odd why add two v2 cabinets when they could have added one v3 cabinet for those 4 stalls. I wonder if power coming in has something to do with it since I feel like even in summer it’s always slow.

    Colorado Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Totally agree they seem to be really trying to close in tiny gaps in metro areas. Like Westminster is on the list we have golden, Thornton, Loveland, and Boulder do we really need Westminster but I guess a lot has to do with being able to get leases on land and spots that have sufficient power...

Supercharger - Denver, CO - University Hills

I’m really wondering if the transformer replacement was just something they needed to do for the stores. The corner of the lot was notorious for people car camping especially after the Cameron Motel and Rockies Inn closed down in the last few years. They seemed to have cleaned it out since they...

    Colorado Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

I was disappointed they removed Walsenburg as well that was going open up my preferred route to Santa Fe/Los Alamos through Taos and while not technically CO they removed the Taos location that showed up last year.

Supercharger - Denver, CO - University Hills

There has been nothing done on this one. The location is directly across from the King Soopers pickup spots so I'm staring at that lot every other week. I still think it's a bad location not just because I have a wall connector in my garage. It's over a mile from i25 and to get to that part...

    Supercharger - Silverthorne, CO

If they put in a new V3 at least put it at the Frisco exit, but better yet would be the west side of Vail pass

    Winter Tires on Model 3

I also have an August 2018 model 3 with the wide open grill to the trunk which I think makes the car noisier in general than newer builds but for what it’s worth the tire noise is greater with the MXM4 than the Hakka’s.
  42. K

    Winter Tires on Model 3

Wow I find them quieter than the stock MXM4. Not to say that’s not noisy just left than the A/S that came with the car.

We need "Off-Road Assist" for snow driving

I’m very glad the car met all of your expectations in snow that doesn’t change the fact that it is a RWD until it detects slip which doesn’t work a lot of the time. The snow the silver car is on is a good example of what we get when there is enough traffics volume to chew up the packed snow but...
  44. K

We need "Off-Road Assist" for snow driving

Yes have tried that it doesn’t solve the basic problem that the car is RWD until either it detects slip or you press hard enough on the accelerator that the system thinks that it needs to use the front motor to achieve the required performance. The traction control is fine when you are moving...

We need "Off-Road Assist" for snow driving

He sums up the issue perfectly in the video. I also learned something about how the 3/Y is different from S/X.
  46. K

We need "Off-Road Assist" for snow driving

You can use slip start which I don’t believe turns the nannies completely off but it will let the wheels spin without chopping power.
  47. K

We need "Off-Road Assist" for snow driving

If both motors were engaged when starting from a stop to 20-30mph I don’t think they will need to change much. The car is fine once moving but then again most cars are and all cars are four wheel stop I just want my dual motor model 3(which is marketed as AWD) be all wheel drive.
  48. K

We need "Off-Road Assist" for snow driving

No just a snow storm in Colorado. You might slide a little with real all wheel drive(Audi, BMW, Subaru) and snow tires but not constantly like the Model 3 which only engages the front motor after the rear wheels have lost traction. Yes @GtiMart we need a snow mode but it seems Tesla is...
  49. K

    Winter Tires on Model 3

Agreed. The model 3 is a RWD car most of the time away. It only engages the front motor when it detects slip and that’s slow. Or when you floor it.
  50. K

We need "Off-Road Assist" for snow driving

What does off road assist mode due in the Y? Is it splitting the power 50/50 or at least engaging the front motor all the time. I completely agree with everything you said about the 3 it’s a RWD car until it slips and you mash the throttle. It also amuses me to no end how every time this...
