I've read thru the thread a bunch, but I just wanted to get a final consensus. If you add FSD now, even though there's a prompt that it's final, it CAN be removed after you get the VIN? I guess they can always change and start enforcing that, but as of now it CAN be changed Am I right?

It's nuts. I first had a 2018 M3 that I had for 18 months that ended up positive on. Then a 2020 MYLR after 18 months that I ended up positive on. Basically have driven a Tesla for no costs besides electricity and insurance for 3 years.
