TeslaMate used to let you put the car to sleep if it isn't currently charging, not sure if it still does. Or just let it go to sleep naturally by turning off Senty Mode, Overheat protection, and not have it charging. FYI, TeslaMate is the one you have to set up yourself with your own server...

You can also set up a seperate profile without FSD enabled, and use that profile

I'm excited. And a little nervous since FSD 11 will be changing Freeway Autopilot, which I really depend on...

If you prees the brake hard enough to get the HOLD mode, you can start FSD while stopped. Basically your foot just needs to be off the brake and there needs to be lane markers (which gives you the little grey steering wheel).

Perhaps I should have said they aren't working much on issues that aren't safety issues when you include the driver. Similiar to "No turn on red" signs or school zone speed linits. Dangerous if ignored, but that is the drivers job.

Select the stalk button to do one wipe, which brings up the menu for the wipers, then set it to slow. You can change it, it just gets set to Auto when you engage Autopilot

Crappy lane selection is not really a safety issue, so they probaby aren't working on it much. And the exit is Autopilot, which hasn't been worked on in years, unless you mean when you are on the exit ramp, then that is FSD. And again, not really a safety issue, so not getting much work. Same...

Good luck, but I've found the best way to get someone used to it is to find a nice empty 4 lane road with about a 40 m/h speed limit and let then try it there. Using it for the 1st time at highway speeds doesn't go well in my experience.

Here is the Dashcam of the 3-Wheel vehicle. The start is on the Freeway, and there was no issue. At the very end, you can see where I sped up slightly and get real close to the rear of the vehicle, amd where I hit the brake and backed off.

No, it showed car, then motorcycle, then nothing (no blob). And then kept flipping between them. I followed it for a while on the Freeway, and it was fine, and it was fine on the exit ramp until it moved to the left of the lane. Then it started messing up.

If you look at this video around 6:25, you can see that the car that it "almost" hit was no longer blue (because he diseganged), and the drone footage shows it passed or even with the Chuck's car, but the display shows it to the left of Chuck's car.

His software is also used by companies working on self driving cars. And he has a history of trashing competitors software. Nothing from him can be believed.

Just my guess, but you train the AI in good weather first, then once you get everything working, you start training it to work while raining. So I won't be expecting it to work in the rain until it is a usable L3/L4 in good weather.

I did a cross country trip last year. The only PB events occurred with no lead car. With the newer loads (beta FSD), I no longer seem to get PB events even without a lead car.

Before I got FSD Beta, I did notice that PB never seemed to occur if I was following another car, only if I was passing with no one close in front of me. Basically as long as a car showed on the display in the same lane as me, I never had one

I don't get phantom breaking on freeways anymore. I am in the FSD Beta, but I was assuming it didn't impact freeway driving

Can't you just tap the red precondition notice at the top of the navigation directions? If you do this, I thought it turned off the precondition... I only know this because I tapped it once by accident, the red went away, and when I tried to supercharge it was slow.

You need lane lines on both sides of you to calibrate, so a well-marked freeway works best

With getting closer to 1 stack, do they have enough room to run two FSDs like they originally planned? If so, maybe the chimes of doom are some kind of miscompare between the two instances. Never heard if they were going to do any kind of comparison, so probably not

When it is really foggy or dark, mine will pick up the lower speed limit that is for trucks only, super annoying.

I think it doesn't do it when it can see a car ahead of it, so if you are in traffic with someone behind you, then no, it doesn't happen. If you are on open road with someone following you, then yes it happens.

I've been wondering how much relative speed factors into it. I drive pretty sedately, and (at least since 10.8.1 FSD Beta), PB has been very rare for me

They moved the button to record dashcam events, it is now on the Quick Control menu (I think that is what it is called?). The menu you first get when you select the car on the bottom left of the screen...

My guess is they haven't spent much time training the network on how to handle this, so the safe thing to do is just to disengage. Once they get it working in good weather, then they can start training it for bad weather. Truthfully, the cameras and AI should be able to see better than humans...

Won't it only do this if you have Cruise set to Speed Limit (in Autopilot settings)? I set upt two profiles, one with FSD when I want to play with it, and the other with just Autopilot. On the one with just Autopilot, I set it to Current Speed instead of Speed Limit, and I turn off stopping...

Same, and I've immensly enjoyed it, just for the auto lane changes on long trips. And FSD 10.8 is realy fun to play with it. But if I had to do it over again, I would have invested the 8k in Tesla stock, since if they ever get to L4, the stock will go through the roof...

Just finished a trip from Portland to San Diego to Phoenix, and then back to Portland with FSD 10.8, all most all freeway and almost all it during daylight hours. I didn't experience any phantom breaking even when I wasn't following anyone, so much improved. I still haven't tried it much on 2...

Too low and small to be usefull, I would like it if they put it at the top of the screen and made it larger

I also updated via cellular, and after installing I noticed on one of the menus it said something like games would be downloaded on WiFi. I was assuming that meant the new games weren't available yet, but I haven't checked.

That's my guess also, but I don't use it that much on 2 lane highways, since most of my driving is on freeways
