New Powerwall Advanced Options [Toggles for charging from and discharging to grid from powerwalls]

Not quite—the utility has smart inverter control over solar inverters (including the Powerwall+ solar inverter) while on-grid, not the Powerwall. Powerwall uses similar controls (e.g., microgrid frequency changes) while off-grid, but it cannot and will not mess with the grid to control other...

New Powerwall Advanced Options [Toggles for charging from and discharging to grid from powerwalls]

According to the support page, yes, the Permission to Export setting is available for Powerwall+. Because of the integrated solar inverter, Powerwall+ has more direct control over how much solar is exported to the grid, where it can't with other solar inverters. (So, one would not expect to see...

Storm watch opt-out [New feature in Tesla App]

The opt-out modal looks like this during a storm. This is brand new with app version 4.7, and like many app updates, will roll out slowly.

Utility Rate Plans Where are they?

    - Firmware versions are measured with weeks, so there won't be a .36, .37, .38 — Tesla does not have a history of cutting releases that often - There is some additional functionality available with 21.39, but the overall functionality is already available.

Utility Rate Plans Where are they?

You very definitely want sell prices populated—or else you're telling your Powerwall you get $0 for exporting energy. If you don't have a precise number to populate, an estimate value is better than a less accurate zero or blank value.

    TOU Broken?

Indeed, there's also a paragraph on the Tesla website about how Powerwall charging behavior can change with seasons.

Tesla app version 4.0.0 has app re design for both car and energy

Generally speaking, this Power Flow is actually more accurate. It’s not that some current selectively goes from your Solar directly to the Grid and Powerwall power goes direct to home—it’s still all one system, and your loads all connect through the “hub” that is your load center/main panel/etc...

    Issue with Powerwall thermal programming

Powerwall software version 1.46 does include support for preconditioning (warming) while in backup/off-grid. Theoretically, this enclosure shouldn't be necessary — though it all depends on when your last cold outage was and when this update was released.

Dumping Excess Power During Peak Period

If it’s exactly half what you’d expect (not just “feels like lower system production”), this is relevant and reveals a potential cause, mention it to support and it can be fixed.

    Powerwall Software 1.46

The setting appears for you to configure in your customize menu, no matter the vehicles you own. What if you don't own a Tesla vehicle, but you have a friend with one come to charge during a (probably hypothetical) multi-day outage? They should still be able to charge just fine, using your...

    Solarroof.cool

It's a matter of distance. The garage has its own inverter and has the strings from both planes of that roof. Then the house has two inverters, one that takes two strings and another that takes its own one. (I have no understanding why the house has two inverters over just one.)

    Solarroof.cool

Yeah, that’s exactly what the sign up is for. (It’ll be really easy to turn it into a product if I think it could pay for the servers/bandwidth (there’s a good chunk of automation and resources needed to do real-time dashboards times so many users) and also maybe get me, like, a fancy dinner a...
