UK Model Y Order Book Open

This is the car I have been waiting for. The plan was to get the Model 3 and trade it in when the Y arrived. So I waited. Email came. Button pushed. LR Silver + 20" Induction. Gorgeous. But now I've ordered it, I have realised I have absolutely no intention of trading in the M3P. None...

Bonnie Tesla by Skeewiff posted Sep 14, 2020 at 11:20 AM Took my Bonnie M3P to Bonnie Scotland over the summer. Twice. Big thanks to Tesla for the 2,000 free supercharger miles, which came in very handy. Best road trip car I've ever owned. A joy to drive.

    Does anyone wave anymore?

I'm even worse... I've owned a Zoe, an i3 and now the M3 over the last 5 yrs. I constantly wave, and still do, at anything even remotely electric. I draw the line at hybrids though... Most folk don't wave back. I guess am I expecting waaay too much as its not even a brand thing? & Admittedly...

    Kerbed wheel 20" performance grey...

Haha. I'm booking my i3 in at the same time as I've managed to ding 2 of those as well! I guess I'm the kerbing kind. You're right, buying a new car, taking its wheels off and putting them in a box, makes no sense whatsoever! But I do tend to destroy wheels, and the following video gave me the...

    Kerbed wheel 20" performance grey...

It just happened. The moment I have been dreading since I picked up my M3P. I too have just kerbed a good third of the rear passenger side wheel rim. I have been extra scared with this car as I know just how delicate and expensive they are.. and scuffs on the grey really do show. I had started...

Ionity - how will Jaguar, Polestar etc survive?

When I bought my M3, I was told by a Tesla salesman @ Brent Cross, that he'd discovered Jagwar salesmen were claiming that the I-pace could use Tesla superchargers! Cheeky as fek, but with the correct wording i.e. "The IPace has the same charging connector as the new Teslas" or "The Ipace uses...

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

Sounds promising! Almost there. Do you have any normal 3 pin power sockets outside where you park, either at home or at work? It is not ideal, but I managed to charge 2 EVs for over a year and a half with only Granny chargers whilst we were renting. At first I just bunged the Granny charger...

New Octopus Go tariff and off peak options?

Hi all. I have two Evs to feed so I have decided to switch to Octopus & go for the 'Go' Tariff. I already have a Secure Liberty 100 Smart meter and am free to leave my current supplier, Ecotricity, whenever I choose... So I guess all I am missing is a referral code.. Anyone fancy D'Ming me one...

    Interesting UK range test

This is precisely what brings me here too! Existing EV driver (Zoe and i3) In need of a bigger, more practical family sized car. The Kia E-Niro seemed perfect, but apparently they only built 900 RHD? Didn't fancy waiting years, so gave up on that and turned attention to Kona. Same thing.. rare...

Thanks! It was actually a very easy install, as its not a wrap as such, but 3x solid abs stick-on abs panels. More expensive than a wrap but perfectly suited if you don't trust your own wrapping skills...

    Insurance UK

After a decade of insuring everything through Esure, they point blank refused to insure my new M3P. Their loss. Moved all insurance over to Admiral, who insured it for a smidge over £1000 with the legal protections added. In London. Which is less than I used to pay for an Alfa Romeo 2.4 JTD...

18" Aero vs 20" Performance: Ride Quality, comfort, noise etc

This happened this morning. This is why I am here, reading this. Hit a pothole, puckered up so tight, I could poop linguini. No obvious damage.. but the thunk, then the fear.. I love the look of the Grey 20's. but am not enjoying the extra anxiety such a low profile causes. It doesnt help that...

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

Apologies, in advance to anyone that has been waiting eons for their shiny new Teslas: I must've been one jammy bugger... but I bought my M3 LR Performance in Red, with black interior, from the Brent Cross showroom and took delivery a week later! After wasting several months waiting for elusive...

Tesla Model 3, another charger recommendations

Hiya I recently moved house, and went with (a dumb) Rolec, which was installed for £400. It has worked every time and have used it to charge a Zoe, an i3, a Leaf and my M3 all with no issues. No frills, but solid. Best

Hi all. Proud owner of a new M3 Performance chiming in. Absolutely stunning.... & that sound system... Woah. & that tech. & all those clever, fiendishly simple ideas? Makes all other cars feel positively ancient. In my case, 3 is most definitely the magic number, as this is my also third EV...
