Sosius - They Yakima Control Tower fits the mounts on the Model S. Control Tower Then you can attach any Yakima rack to it. Works really great. Kepmad - Yup, mileage takes a hit with 4 bikes, 4 peeps, and a back full of stuff for a week at the beach. It was summer and I think I got around...

    Hum Going Over 70 MPH

Wow, this forum is great! I just encountered the HUM on my 2013 85S w/36k miles...happens just as described, at 60 mph when you gently accel out of regen I get a LOUD hum, and it goes away as soon as you go back into regen. I did a search here on hum, and here we are! I'll be heading into...

    Best Family Car Evah!

No kiddin, huh? I clipped a white parking pole in the first months of having her. I will say, the car is so much wider than I think. I've gotten used to the size now, but the first year I was clipping curbs with my right rear wheel a lot. Always thought of the S as a small sports car, like...

    I just got big-timed by a fellow Tesla. 85s can't hang with P85Ds apparently...

I think I've been lucky up here in New England, everyone still seems friendly in their S and wave when I wave/nod....ya never know what was going on with the guy, coulda been on the speakerphone....maybe with his wife, trying to soften the $100k impact he was about to spring on her!

    2013 P85+ with 20k miles or Inventory 70D with 2k miles...?

Just to toss in my two center: My Model S is a 2013 85 with 36k miles and it's still a dream to drive. I've driven a recent P85D and it really was amazing, but I wouldn't trade the 85 battery for the 70. I love having range to go and go and go!

2 weeks with my inventory 85D (including 700-mi road trip) - impressions and musings!

Congrats! Same with my Model S, not perfect, but the great service makes up for the every once in a while imperfections. I've got 36k on my S after 2 years and still love it!

    Best Family Car Evah!

The best family car ever made! At the Sagamore SuperCharger on the way to Provincetown on Cape Cod. I replaced my Volvo Wagon with my Model S, and I swear the S has more cargo space than the wagon. Family of four, with provisions for a week, and four bikes in my Yakima rack on the roof, no...

    Pulled over driving Model S

Took delivery of my S/Blue/85/Tech/Air/Sound/19 at 1pm and was pulled over on mile 4 at 2pm! Driving with no plates, which is how Teslas are delivered in Mass. - they get their initial registration in Cali, and then we transfer. The lack of plates, though, is unfamiliar to the State Troopers...
