Balancing issue - Steering wheel Vibration

Bit of a long shot….. Could it be a slight flat spot on one or more of the tyres, from the car sitting on the boat? If so, it should recover with use, but may take longer in these winter temperatures.

Torque Alliance, NL Online Order - UK customs charge

I thought as part of the Brexit agreement there was no customs duty on goods travelling between the EU and the UK, provided they are of EU origin. However, if the value is more than £135, then you would have to pay UK VAT, in which case the retailer should have sold the goods exclusive of the...

    Auto-Pilot - I give up, it's downright lethal

The sad thing is that other cars do adaptive cruise control so well, for example my wife’s basic Golf. just works - keeps the speed you’ve set or follows the car in front at the distance you’ve set. And on all kinds of roads.

    Door Slam

I can highly recommend Darius of Dent Division (Paintless Dent Removal Belfast - Dent Division NI) to deal with the dent. He has a base at Moneyreagh, Co. Down, but also provides mobile service. He has (almost magically) sorted dents for me on two separate occasions - brought them back to...

    Keyed!

Would it need to be completely stripped, though? Provided there is no sign of the base coat delaminating, perhaps a surface preparation (ie sanding) would be sufficient. And if the colour was kept the same, no need to paint internal panels etc (and no need to inform insurer.....)

Although with the VW finance scheme you can end the PCP early (ie within weeks) without penalty and you keep the deposit contribution.

Will I miss my HUD ?

It’s polarised sunglasses that interfere with the HUD. Nothing to do with the degree of tint.

    Phantom braking (TACC/AP) [Not AEB]

Yes, the VW system, like BMW’s, maintains speed / resumes if you’re indicating right to move to the next lane.

    Tesla Belfast

Tesla Beslfast seems to be up and running, with cars in the showroom and on the forecourt. But not too busy when I passed today.

    Phantom braking still an issue

For that, VW use Front Assist / Emergency Autonomous Braking which operates whether or not Adaptive Cruise Control is engaged. Here’s a test...

    Phantom braking still an issue

Our 2016 VW Golf 1.4 SE has adaptive cruise control as standard. Radar based. It works perfectly and in four years of ownership we’ve never experienced phantom braking.
