Thanks so much everybody. I didn't realize the E-brake system was a separate function from the parking brake. Makes sense to me now.

When I'm in Park, the parking brake is applied. When I then push the end of the stalk and hold it in, another icon shows on the screen and I hear something else actuating. Does anyone know the difference between regular park and the one with the extra icon?

They actually have foam filled tires to help with low frequency noise also. Got a puncture and they had to cut away and then put back in the foam to patch it.

Can they be removed when not being used?

Does the Tesla require you to do anything special to get the old fluid out of the power brake assembly or does it simply stay in there and ruin it over time. Many people forget about that problem in most cars.
